Thanks for the 101, I've done a couple other racing games and just picked up F1 23. This video sheds some light on how to start, where to find things and how to learn the game. I enjoy how much of a driver aspect of the track and flow games gives. As a long time F1 fan when I started playing games it gave a new perspective when watching a race and now I can explore all the tracks from this view. Looking forward to watching more videos

Amazing video, cheers for all the insights. I've just started sim racing and have just started f123. I went to elite settings to go for the truest feel, but just don't have the control yet (heaps different from gran Turismo 7). Think as you mentioned the best way and the most enjoyable way is to slowly lower the assist, instead of getting frustrated and leaving the game haha. Swallow a bit of humble pie and start from the beginning in this journey 😂

Thanks for the video. I just got F1 23 on a STEAM sale price. Right now i am doing the time trial mode on different tracks. Just want to get on the tracks and practice and race some laps to see how I do with AI. Don't plan to do Career mode or multiplayer. Don't have the time for all that. If I can have some fun with the AI, that will be good enough for me. Favorite track and know it the best is Australia. I do all my racing in VR mode on my PC, so F1 23 does have VR. Default setups are good enough for me, not planning to compete against anyone. I also have F1 22 which this game also has VR, and did the same things in that game.

Hey everyone, so I'm a F1 fan but I've never gotten into F1 games. In this F1 23 is there a way for me to compete as Aston Martin (I'm an Aston Martin fan in real life, I/AM member) have both my drivers be real F1 drivers and compete for the drivers and constructors championship? Like I can do in FIFA, like I have a Real Madrid season where I play as the club and compete for La Liga and Champions League titles and do all the off season decisions like sign and release players. So basically can I play F1 23 career mode like I can in FIFA?

Is there any reason my Moza FSR is not syncing with the game? The rev bar and display isn't working. I can see F123 launch isn't in the Pit House, is it not compatible?

Once F1 23 is added to Pit House in an update it will work, but for now the rev lights and screen won’t work

Steering sensitivity is always adjustable for game controllers. Also, a cheap joystick would make it much more fun to play than a KB.

yeah well what I take away from this is that I should probably first work on keeping up with the AI properly e.g. get that difficulty up before I completely disable all assists - just started playing around with traction control off and allowing breaks to lock up (just got about 5h gameplay in) but as I am playing on controller it isn't as precise as I would love. have to try out a wheel soon with this one I guess :D - does anyone have some ideas on how to make this game very enjoyable even with the standard xbox one controller? I've heard that the pro controller is very much superior and the Z axis is more precise and feels better but at the same time I feel like investing money on a better gamepad would be totally bonkers when one could save up some quick bucks for a wheel & pedals

Absolutely not. Everyone should tailor the difficulty to suit their skill. If that is lower than others, no sweat. Go at your own pace.

Great intro guide. Regarding TC, I got too frustrated with the inconsistency of Med TC on '22, despite using it from 17-21, so I switched to Full again. Do you think Traction is easier this year to go back to Med for people that used Full on '22?

I've always run Med TC as a Pad Player, I run no TC now. Its easier to catch a small slide and the grip is so much better. No stupid torque spikes

For me traction control on controller is much worse than last year. I drive on medium and it sucks compare to last year. On this game medium traction is like driving with no traction control. Unpacking and comparing the values between to too they are very close. Setting the values to the last year game does nothing simply because the engine torque settings are complete garbage even developer's said so that engine torque are completely off. Only way for me to enjoy the game is to play with full traction and it sucks not to mention lap times plummets and you have to decrease the difficulty. Last year I played at 101 difficulty this year I'm down to 80. I really don't see the massive improvement to driving and handling that's been advertise. Maybe for wheel players it is better but for controller it's way worse and seeing ton of complaints form people saying the same thing.
