Yardley from Basildon, Essex UK. 5 minutes from my house. Always smelt great when you walked past it. My parents worked just up the road from that factory working for STC (making phones and phone equipment for British Telecom and others) and ITT (making radios and other electronics).

BRM actually ran as many as five cars in some early 1972 races, before cutting back to a more reasonable three as the season wore on.

Yardley will sponsor BRM for 2 seasons after which they'll switch to McLaren. They'll be replaced by Marlboro who, after 2 seasons, will also switch to McLaren. Great video!

BRM loved those complicated engines... maybe developing a good V8 for 66 and beyond like Chapman did would have changed their fortunes! Loved the color scheme on the 74 Motul, even my wife thinks it's pretty on Forza xbox

The Surtees livery would be a good subject, the 1976 surtees was driven by Alan Jones and was sponsored by Durex. i had to drive 100 miles to watch the British GP as the BBC refused to show it on tv deeming it unfit for family viewing. what a brilliant organisation eh !
