Interesting thing - they have four cars, not two - I didn't know that, before seeing two cars in close contention followed by two heavily rigged cars - presumably the latter vehicles were driven by Pitt and Elba themselves, and the first two cars were pro drivers. Movie promotion for AAA production goes like this: 1) Teaser - 90 sec 2) 2nd Teaser - 30-45sec 3) Trailer - up to 240 sec 4) Trailer 2 - mashup of first 3. 5) Movie launch.

Not F1 fans whose primary concern are racing and its raw sporting spectacles. Plus I’m merely explaining the fact the film is bound to show some fictional causes that clashes with avid fans’ sporting knowledge as opposed to non F1 fans who knows nothing about the sport and could actually not be bothered by such small details. That’s the byproduct of 99% of sports films.

For one this movie is produced by Apple TV so it isn't making any money and it's not an awards-contender type of movie and F1 or even avid racing fans as such will be frustrated by the movie. So it seems like a loose-loose sort of situation. If they had made a biographical type of movie like Rush or Ford vs Ferrari it would do much better.

Controversial, but the Grand Prix story was super painful to watch. The car cinematography is second to none, but this is best to watch like one of those adult romance movies where you fast forward through the talking bits.

@@JLvatron it’s actually similar to Grand Prix. Old man no one believes in comes back for his last chance in a back marker team. Lots of real footage of real races. Using f2 cars to pretend they are f1 cars for some bits. This is fully inspired by that movie. This is not going to be anywhere near as good as Rush as far as story is concerned, but it will have more authentic racing bits. As good as rush was they had to fake it a lot considering the setting.

Using we will rock you is a bit of a Knights Tale rip off. I'm sure it will be a predictable storyline. The old guy returns for one last shot, dies in the end, and passes the torch along to the young guy. Pitt is Sena. The young guy is Lulu. Like we didn't see that coming.

Spoiler alert! Brad character will be a has been champion, brought back to aid a promising driver but had a change of heart and wants to be the champion. His No.1 Mechanic was also brought along, and fell in love with her at the end. In conclusion, his teammate becomes the champion and he eventually retires with his new girl

not really F1 related :D but new cars in EU from 2024 must have a active speed warning built in, and some systems actually have the throttlepedal being forced up, to lower the speed. But you can override this by pressing the pedal harder lol.

They released the trailer this weekend because July 6th was Sylvester Stallone's birthday. His name is very similar to "Silverstone." Stallone starred in 2001's Driven, which was another movie about open-wheel race cars. You may not believe me, but that's ok, most of you probably don't even realize how F1XED all of pro sports are.

That first scene just screams how lame this is going to be. "We need to build our car for combat" - WTF? Are they building an APC? Why would "how do I make that safe" be the first thing out of her mouth instead of saying something like "what, you want to mount a machine-gun to the front wing?" I'm gonna have a go at a bit of the plot and say.......Brad Pitt's character lost his wife in some sort of accident that he feels responsible for and in her dying words she says " You can do it baby, you can be an F1 champion at 60". So Brad's character absolutely insists on wearing his wedding ring whilst driving so he can have his deceased wife onboard and bring him luck. They are a true team. And further he has some sort of run-in with authorities over wearing the ring with the words " Blimey mate you ain't gonna take the ring, never"
