I know it’ll never happen but I’d love to see another generation of 600kg f1 cars with a simple IC engine and vastly simplified aero. Cornering speeds are crazy impressive now but too often the cars just cannot get close enough to each other to race. DRS is a sticking plaster and horribly simplifies the art of overtaking. Half the tech these current cars have the fans cannot even see. I think it’s pretty obvious most fans would prefer a simpler, slower car that can actually race.

As a mechanical engineer I agree with Bernie Collins point of returning to in race refueling to save at least 50Kg of weight and therefore meet the anticipated 30Kg weight reduction. The X and Z modes should be renamed for TV broadcasts as the following X-mode renamed High speed mode or Speed mode,Z-mode should be renamed as Handling mode or Cornering mode. With regards to the 100% bio-fuel used in 2026,the calorific efficiency of each fuel manufacturer should be similar if not congruent. Therefore the engine efficiency and design would be the only variable before expanding to the overall powertrain efficiency of each team.

STOP calling anyone as the next Max, there will never be a next Max! And Toto trying to recreate with Kimi his MISSED OPPORTUNITY WITH MAX is actually insane. Toto is rushing Kimi through and that can only go wrong for Kimi…. Way too high expectations, causing overdriving by Kimi (which he already does and crashed out in Melbourne cos of it), overload by press pushing in all interviews, each session each move under scrutiny, constant comparing results to the high expectations…. Kimi needs to have HIS TIME to develop and grow, skipping F3, only performing midfield in F2… he is constantly overhyped. Give him time…

There will never be an announcement that Max is going to honor the contract he already agreed to, so they're done. IF he decides to break his contract then he breaks it and that's certainly news but the contracts are DONE, the line up is set for next year. If we start going down the road of "contracts can, in theory, be broken" then no driver line up will ever be set at any point in time including during the race year they're under contract for because "someone could break their contract at some point, maybe!"

I really don't understand how Ollie Bearman is even in this conversation. His current F2 season is not anything spectacular, meanwhile Paul Aron has been on the podium in every race and currently leads F2. But that would make 4 UK drivers, 5 if you consider Albon.. I wish these guys would say it like we all know it is.. the more financial backing you have, the more likely to get a seat. There is too much deadwood in F1, and teams need support up and coming talent. DR, VB, Zhou, Ocon, Gasly, Mags.. all have had ecent runs in F1, time for them to step aside and let young drivers like Lawson have a go.
