This stuff takes our sport to a level that’s unrivalled by any other sport. FIAsco please let’s take it to andromeda and release the timing of 0.0001sec and blow the planet away please. The World of f1 deserves to be in a different dimension to other mortal sports such as football which is great generally, but not atm if your English. I digress keep up the fantastic performances in front of the camera and keep the information coming cause personally I can’t get enough and every spare second of my life is dedicated to f1, learning what I don’t know, sharing what I do and admiring the multitude of facets revolutionary technological innovations that make up our incredible Sport. Let’s not allow Liberty Media and F1 with the FIAsco keep lining their pockets by detracting from the essence of the sport, using blackmail and intimidation of revenue loss in Mexico so keep Checo 🖕🏼 Our f1 which is in a new stratosphere right now cannot be allowed to be held in disrepute by the Conglomerates. Let’s look forward to the battle commencing on August 23rd in Zandvoort. Btw let’s lose Monaco rather that alternate Spa and Zandvoort from 2025. Spa, Silverstone and Monza are the 3 must have events every season people. I’m looking forward to Sepang hitting the calendar again in 2026 thanks to Mercedes Benz AMG Petronas Formula One Team who thanks to the budget cap financed the event in Sepang solely because it deserves to be there, personally it’s the best Circuit, compound, experience,, event, and the City KL, rainforest in the centre of the new how amazing. The venues are now beyond imagination even in the middle of the deserts and the new stadium venue being built currently in Saudi Arabia costing Billions is going to take formula one to a new dimension as Sepang did in 1999. Sepang btw is the very best place in the World to experience and view a race live from trackside as from my secret spot your able to see about 94% of the entire Circuit and that’s not equaled in any other International Circuit at any level as far as I know, and I’ve done 49 races in 24 Countries now, never USA, with Qatar and Abu Dhabi this December, Jeddah next Aril atm, then Miami ‘27 with my Daughter, our first visit to the US, I’m not a fan it’s my last priority destination and my Daughter persuaded me to take her as I took my son to Suzuka at the same age and he’s coming in December on our way to England to spend Birthday and Christmas with my family and see cousins etc for the first time, but Sepang in 2017 was the very best event I’ve attended although I’d reckon Silverstone this year would’ve topped it for atmosphere alone with Lewis stunning the World with his 9th home win what a legend. He’s back the undisputed GOAT Sir LH44 and Papaya always since ‘88. Been watching since ‘78 though. Took to Senna in Monaco ‘84 with that special display of talent in monsoonal conditions and fell in love. He was robbed by Balastre. And bloody Prost. Umm the French. Mercedes clearly want George Russell to step up. His strategy call in Belgium was part of a pattern. George is prone to making mistakes and to make opportunistic calls that don't work out. He pushed for the one-stop in Belgium and Mercedes agreed without thinking hard enough about the consequences. I suspect they need a more experienced line-up for 2025 and beyond. None of the contributors here did a very good job explaining the actual procedure at every race end. This would certainly limit speculation as to deliberateness vs negligence. From the FIA doc the cars are expected to have at least 1.0 litre of fuel at the end of a race to be drained and tested and upon draining this fuel the cars should not be below 798kg. After draining the mandatory 1.0 litre of fuel, Russel's car was spot on the proper weight (798kg) but had more fuel in the car, which means that the fuel left in the car enabled it to meet the desired weight. Thus the only matter to adjudicate is if the fuel was left in the car deliberately to pass the weight test. All this long stint tyre talk seems foolish to me when Alonso and Stroll did 30 and 32 laps respectively and passed their weight test.

Craig did a really good job after the race, but is now arguing that post race scrutineering should be discarded. This would also eliminate plank checks etc. etc. The root of this is based on media desire for a 'clean' result immediately after the race, the impact of changes from scrutineering / stewarding don't fit the schedule, just as when Lewis & Charles were excluded after the Austin race. George didn't appear to pick up any rubber, even though he had the full length of the straight to do so. It's not uncommon for Lewis to head straight for the rubbish as he crosses the line, avoiding any issues and while the tyres are at maximum heat / stickiest.

I don't think teams are lining up to sign him, except if they'd like the sponsor money..

That's not a problem whatsoever

Sainz should have been in demand for the Mercedes seat if it wasnt for Verstappen. Toto wants him over and is ready to wait for it. Horner realize its possible considering current results on track and dont want to end up with Ricciardo and god knows who as a driver line up. He also knows that if they build a car around Perez he will be a possible front runner again

How do you know these details, did either driver tell you, or the team management ? If not it’s your guess, speculation. Your choice of words “ I think” sum up up your knowledge.

I think this chap needs to step aside, Slater isn’t informative at all.

Well I believe he is an ex football player, so he’s more a commentator than someone like Bernie who worked in a team for many years.

Ricardo is and has driven the R B as well as Max and no one has done the same since he left

So they didn't determine how light the car was with all the fuel drained?? That's odd!

IMO, Checo is safe because Max doesn't want any serious competition from his No.2 driver and yes I do mean his No.2 driver. There's no way Horner is in control of these decisions, IMO.

McLaren must be happy to hear RB keep Perez. That’s where second half season is where they will beat RB in constructor n take in big $ for next year car development. Mercedes might happy on that also
