Problem with chicane 1 is that on exit the car on the car will have a harder time getting a good exit and catching the slipstream and attack into the second chicane. Things may be different if the exit is cambered. Is it?

Ah it’s a shame they’ve neutered the kerbs. These old school tracks have such character, it strange they’d want to get rid of that

They haven't said for sure, but I suspect it is over safety. The junior formulas have had some massive accidents here in the recent past.
