Logan honestly looked real strong in his first few race weekends. I think he mentally couldn't handle the pressure of F1. He was rushed into F1, had a lot of crashes, and wasn't physically fit for a f1 season. This all took it's toll and he just got worse as time went on and without much support/faith from Williams, it makes a lot of sense. Logan is a talented driver but was rushed and couldn't handle the pressure of f1. I guarantee if he does go to indycar, he will be a contender for the championship by his 2nd year.

Doubt he had the worse car. Button went from 11th to 4th, behind Kmag in the same car. And the McLaren was the only car to run Q1 in sub 1:31 alongside Danny Rics Red Bull. Both McLarens were top 5 in Q1. So it was definitely a front runner car in that race at least. Lewis car being "Frontrunner" was largely based on Fernando winning the year before but didn't really pick up pace until a bit into the season, Kimi won the race and would also go on to win the championship later on in a multi-person last race split for the first place. (Literally, people got the top 7 positions in the exact right order for Kimi to win the championship on a 1 point margin.)

It was 10th, in a clear cut point scoring car, and only because of three retirements ahead of him. 'Damn you Sauber for giving him a tractor'. How was the McLaren midfield when Button went 11th to 4th in the same car? Is it really fair to put Hamilton's 3rd place in what was the quickest car on the grid in era of infinite testing above KMAGs 2nd in a much slower car with far more limited testing to get acquainted with the sport? I understand that bias cannot be fully quelled in any of us but here should be an obvious example to be self aware to be honest and could of been easily corrected. Both great debut's but considering the machinery and the level of testing one could do in each respective era, Kmags was more impressive and Lewis should be a firm 2nd.
@RANDOMZBOSSMAN13 ай бұрын
That Ferrari in its original spec was the fastest car on the grid and the only reason Lewis even came third was due to McLaren purposely fuelling him short so that Alonso can overcut in the second pit stop (Alonso was initially getting number 1 treatment to start the season) and also cars not respecting blue flags when he was around (looking at you Sutil and Sato) It was after that race Ferrari had its floor element banned which caused McLaren to gain speed relative to them KMag had a great race but had the benefit of Danny Ric DSQ and Lewis DNF when Lewis didn’t have either car ahead of him have that fate Also regarding the testing 2014 had quite a bit of testing before the first race although I agree 2007 had more scope of test time I do agree though it’s very close and could go either way I wouldn’t have had an issue with KMag number 1
