Thanks for clearing up the sim brake bias issue. So many people talking about going forward on the bias to help turn in.

Hi, I have a question that really worries me about simulators and I would love to know your opinion. Why is the feeling of speed and cornering in simulators much less than in real life, apart from the fact that we don't feel the g-forces? I feel that everything happens much slower around me, both on the screen and with VR. I think the possible reason is that the creators copy what is seen in real videos. But the mistake is that what we see in these real videos is not perceived the same way as in real life. Best regards! Here's a more natural sounding version: Hi there, I have a question that's been bothering me about racing simulators. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Why does the sense of speed and cornering in simulators feel so much slower compared to real life, even without the physical forces like G-forces? It feels like everything moves in slow motion, both on a regular screen and in VR. I think the problem might be that game developers copy what they see in real-life videos. But they're missing the point, because what we see on those videos isn't the same as experiencing it firsthand. Thanks!

I've noticed that front brake bias can largely vary between types of hardware you're using and individual preference. I'll drive hard on a straight and then slam on the brakes and adjust that until the front and rear brakes kind of lock up together,

Engine breaking doesn't allow you to stop earlier. If it does, that's because your braking balance is shit. What it allows you to do, is slightly change your braking balance without actually changing the braking balance.

Are these f1 braking techniques or just car techniques in general? I find the super formula and w13 have naturally progressed my gt3 driving and vice versa

They're all car control techniques in general, but nothing gets peoples attention quicker that putting F1 driver in the title.

So F1 drivers don't use brake bias?

Why is more rear brake bias better only in sim and not real life? Does it have something to do with the simulator physics?

I'm not saying this with certainty but it's to do with the tyre model. In iRacing the tyres are very sensitive to overheating so there is a large emphasis on rotating the car with the rear on corner entry so as to have the front tyres in a good spot mid corner. For this you would typically use rearward brake balance.
