Really interesting video. Some of the winless drivers were still very competitive and stayed in a long time but never managed to grab that golden ring. It confused me for a while to see drivers names climbing up even after they had wins, like Massa, only to realize they had major winless streaks after some success.

yes indeed.. it's incredible that Massa nearly won the WDC in 2008 and thereafter never won a single race.

Alonso is another driver that is surprisingly high on this list as well. Perez was unlucky a couple of times in 2012 as well, but agree that Massa is the real tragedy in modern F1. He so deserved the 2008 title and then never to win again. :(

This was fun while being incredibly informative, brought back many memories too, odd how we can remember certain wins such as Panis at Monaco, I remember in the mid 90's also Benetton held a competition for the lucky winner to be allowed full access to the pits and to be shown around by Johnny Herbert and Herbert went on to win the race, what a day that must have been for the lad who won that competition.

Great to see this winless streak stat since the stat usually presented is most races without ever winning or most races until their first win.

Great work as always, Data Dudes! I keep track of my stats on my F1 Manager 22 save with Aston Martin. Kevin Magnussen won the 2026 Bahrain GP in a Williams in a massive upset. That was, according to my maths, his 208th career start (119 real life starts pre-2022 + 89 GPs in my game). Could he have timed it any better!? :P Nico Hulkenberg would be grateful to just end his podium-less hoodoo, but if he carries on into 2024, he could be at risk of breaking de Cesaris' record for real. Ouch.

Nico Hulkenberg will probably top that list by the end of 2024 assuming that that Haas doesn't do anything crazy.

Three current drivers in the top 10.. I am excited who will be the new recordholder. Considering Hulks short contract and Red Bulls dominance will Alonso likely be ahead by 2025. Crazy to see a two times world champion in that list. Really shows that you can devide Alonsos carreer in pre 2012 and post 2012
