[F1] Voith ADL Enviro 400 LX56 EAF with full kickdown - 19131

Engine: Cummins ISB Euro 4 - 250bhp
Transmission: Voith DIWA 864.5, 4 speed
Bodywork: Alexander Dennis E400, 10.1m
Kickdown galore! Mid 2017, Stagecoach 19131 is seen at work on route 61 which runs between Bromley and Chislehurst. The 61 was the best route to get them driven like this, especially in the evenings. I quite liked these buses - slightly easier on the ear than their beastly Euro 3 predecessors, but with all the usual Voith sounds. Gets the F1 tag due to deliberate, rather than incidental triggering of downshifts!
0:01 - full kickdown
0:22 - kickdown with 1-2-1 switch
0:42 - kickdown with 2-3-2-3 shuffle
1:08 - full kickdown with less aggression
1:39 - kickdown with nice 1st gear and 3rd to 2nd downshift
2:00 - 3:10 clip with many downshifts. At 2:39 it shifts down from 4th to 3rd, promptly followed by a downshift from 3rd to 2nd.
The remainder is driving in a similar manner which you may wish to enjoy as background music.
Euro 4 Voith E400s were uncommon in London, only allocated to route 37, 61, 196, 406 and 418. Given their relative scarcity they don't feature much on this channel. For fans of these buses I have another video taken on the 196 with another driver who was hammering it - • [F1] Voith E400 SN06 B...

Cummins did a good job on the Euro 4 engine. It's always great to ride on a re engined Trident or Euro 4 E400 as they are very fast.

I had more luck with 208 and 269 drivers personally, although it helps the 208's case that I used to live on it! Speaking of the 269, got any good 269 runs in your archives? It was a favourite of mine under Stagecoach, even nowadays in a DW it's fun if you're lucky enough to get a quick driver!

@@gloriouswater538 I don't have anything on the 269 unfortunately. Did ride it a few times in Stagecoach days and it was good in the evenings. I find in general the DT drivers don't tend to floor the buses very much, the 335 excepted so don't ride their routes so often!
