i used csl/exo on my 2005 acura tsx yesterday. never used csl before...great stuff!! i definitely take it off much sooner than you do. i also prefer lower fluff towels...much easier to remove coatings/polishes. car looks fantastic!

I have a beater 2000 celica I drive when it rains, and some people just don't get it. I don't drive my other 2 trucks as much, but I do drive them. A 1991 Mazda Cab Plus that's a true time capsule survivor truck, a strong 8.5 out of 10, and a lifted Tacoma TRD Off-Road with a 3" ICON lift and 18" Fuel Wheels. I do drive them but not like a majority of the people drive theirs, and I catch Flack about it alot of the time. Oh well, if they don't get it, they just don't get it!!! :)

Loved the video. One question please. You leave the product on for quite a long time before wiping off for the first time. I guess you have mastered that over the years, so, it does not give you any issues leaving it that long? Thanks.......

Suprised you don’t play around with the kamikaze coatings, specifically zipang with its self healing ability, lots of testing and videos you can do with it, any swirls on piano black trim you can bleed out with heat gun, very cool to see irl
@ObsessedGarage5 жыл бұрын
I've used ISM, Miyabi, and Stance. I think CSL is so darn good without any of the side effects of the Kamikazi stuff, that I lost interest.
@samcas7075 жыл бұрын
Obsessed Garage I’ve used those too, as a hobbyist I messed up the ism, but the zipang is as easy as miyabi. What side effects did you have, were they humidity related?

@Joe Karma kinda weird he said this, kamikaze stuff is so easy tbh.. and looks awesome

I have never once had a high spot from coating a car. I've coated a few dozen of them. I've done 4 cars with Kamikaze and ended up with high spots on all of them. Overcoat was the worst topper I've ever used and Stance like pretty all wheel dedicated coatings does basically nothing. But...man does ISM look good if you get it right.

I think I know the answer, but if you repaint the front bumper, are you sanding the whole bumper down or spot fixing the chips? And my follow-up, if you spot fix the chips, can you walk us through what the process would be for the prior to bringing the car to the painter. I assume you have to get down to bare paint (get the coatings off) in order for the paint to properly adhere?
@ObsessedGarage5 жыл бұрын
I think using touch-up paint looks really bad. I'd rather use something like Dr. Colorchip. To repaint would mean a sanding down, filling where necessary, then prime, color, clear.

@ObsessedGarage5 жыл бұрын
Because those claims are bogus.
@mattx42535 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage all these coatings are bogus. Difference is though that can coat and wet coat are 10x easier and faster to apply. So you can just top up when you see performance loss. They are just wipe on wipe off products with microfiber. I bet you would get 90 percent of the performance with 10 percent of the hassle and effort.
