Listen my man I don't know if you check your messages or comments on KZbin but I hope you get this alert... I was literally about to Drop my truck off at the transmission shop.. I woke up this morning research a couple more videos that came upon this great Advice.. You just save me $1500, I'm so excited I can't even speak thank you for this information God-bless you..

I can not thank you enough, man. I was stuck on the side of I-95, five hundred miles from home. The transmission seemed to be stuck in 2nd gear. I knew that it couldn't be a simple case of a transmission gone bad. There were no previous warnings of transmission failure and the O/D light was flashing nonstop. With out-of-state license plates this could have easily cost upwards of $1500... easily. I'm no mechanic by a long shot. So what to do?? Then there was you! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this information out there. With six billion people on the planet, I figured at least a dozen may have had a similar experience lol. Whew! I am now a subscriber, I have added my likes and will continue to do so show my appreciation. Wow!

7 years after this video was made and it’s still helping people! Can’t thank you enough. I did so much research on solenoids and dropping transmission pans. $5 at Walmart and the thing shifts perfectly and has overdrive again! You’re the man.

Dude!!! You are freaking awesome. This is the exact problem that happened to my truck. Not only was the OD light flashing but the check engine light came on and it had 17 codes pop up. I researched this problem for 3 weeks ...you tube videos...talking to mechanics and even brought a transmission expert over here with an 8700$ scan tool and test drove it to no avail. Thanks to you the problem is solved. I was throwing parts at this truck and was losing hope. Thanks again young man....you are freaking awesome!

I’m beyond thankful for posting this video. You’ve done an amazing job helping me with my truck. A mechanic replaced the steering column of my f150 and messed up the overdrive. They wanted me to leave my truck with them so they can replace sensors inside the transmission. I told them that the transmission was working fine before I took it to them. Thanks to you video I was able to fix my problem and prove how dishonest those mechanics are. Thank you and God Bless You !

Well I couldn’t believe it myself if I had not see it with my own eyes. Symptoms were exactly the same as described. 99 5.4 xlt was behaving badly and gave it one last try with this video. On start up it was back to normal! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I have had mine for like a month, no issues other than it's love for gas. Up until three days ago. Run rough and made like an on going whine or nonstop moan, but if I turned my wheel to the right it stopped, I really don't think it was steering pump. My over drive light kept turning it's self on. Not flashing. I just checked all my fluids about a week ago. All good, no issues. Then when all this started I checked em again I was real low on oil. Can't tell where that leak or issue is yet. But I am going now to check fuses, Oh if I had a brother that was a mechanic I would feel so lucky, if this turned out to be a fuse I would never talk trash about another Ford. Mine seems too severe for that to fix it, but I am so hopefull!! Thanks for sharing!!

Broooo story goes like this....I own a 1999 f150 4.2l and I had my transmission all of a sudden start to not engage in 5th gear. Then when I got to a light it was slow taking off and slow shifting up gears...It ran good in 3rd and 4th gear...so we made it home...and we found your video...Our problem was fuse #24...the 18 fuse was good...24 fuse also has to do with the transmission ... You saved our asses...I think it blew cause I found the original lighter that goes into the socket and I guess it blew the fuse cause it was just yesterday that I put the lighter in the DC socket... Reversed excellent, and goes in 2nd, excellent and smooth all the way to 55.mph.. I just need to narrow it down, before assuming it's a transmission.. 119,000 original one owner miles. Well maintained.. baffling

I bought my 2003 F150 for $1,000. Shortly after the transmission would only operate in second. I talked to a few guys with way more mechanical knowledge than me and most of their guesses involved more money than I had. I watched your video and HOLY CRAP! My truck had the same exact issue as yours. There was actually a box of 15 amp fuses in the glove box. I checked for the blown fuse just like in your video and it was blown, I replaced it and it worked! Not only, that but a couple days later I accidentally turned on the AC ,which hadn't been working, now it's working too! Coincident? I don't care! The truck runs great even though it has 188k miles on it. I just make sure I've got plenty fuses in the glove box.

this helped me out of no where my tow hall started flashing and truck would shake a lot and when i would drop in gear it would go and it seem liked it wanted to turn off when i gased it switch the 15 fuse amp and now runs good as new thanks 🔥🔥 IT WORKED FOR ME

On my 01 Ford f350 the wires on the gear shift lever had rubbed together enough to expose the bare wires. Which would cause a fuse to blow. Your over drive light may be flashing as an indicator as well

Awesome video , checked the number 23 fuse it was missing ,, the local garage charged 132$ to run a scan ask us to buy a transmission and return so they could install it 🤨 15 amp fuse runs like a new truck out 400$ in parts and service charges that were not necessary,

Probably the last mechanic it was taken to did it on purpose hoping you’d return with more cash for them to say it’s something major then just put the fuse back in and tell you they had to add more parts because it was “a lot of work”

When checking fuses, pull and look at them even if they test good with a test light !

How do you get the oxidized film off of the fuses and the location where each fuse plugs into ? I have used a 🔪 edge or screwdriver edge to scrape them as if I were using the tool used to refresh battery posts...thanks

I have an '05 and I have an issue where the drive gear slips into neutral in stop and go traffic. I checked my transmission fuses but none are blown. I think I'll check again to be sure.

I looked under mine and saw some wires that were frayed. Some near the front were connects to the battery near the firewall and behind the wheel well plastic. One near where the transmission bottoms at. Im going to repair these Wed and hopefully that will clear it

@brett rikey I also found that the stripped wires, near the transmission, are from to the O2 sensor on drivers side. It's not the one directly under wheel well/ but further back. I am going to solder in fresh wires, if I can. The fray is pretty close to the harness.I'm going to the junkyard to find one and tie in if I cant apply previous method. Ill keep ya posted

it was the striped wires connected to the o2 sensor. I had one from another harness, matched the wires, soldered/heat shrink and fired her up and rode

One comment said that the wires can rub together under the steering colum from turning the wheel and they can wear down and rub together cause if fuse to blow out

I appreciate your video, you're right there wasn't anything else on KZbin suggesting this. Would your truck hesitate to go but able yo go in all gears? Or would it have issue shifting? I've got a truck that didn't want to go into reverse, then I drove it a bit, was able to get It to shift into reverse but now not back to drive. I was curious if you had any similar symptoms?

ridgid85 my truck hesitated really bad and would barely move in first gear. It really wouldn’t get out of its own way. I didn’t try driving it on the road to see if it would shift to second. It would go into reverse but had the same symptoms as drive had

@@ridgid859 def sounds like the speed sensor, if that doesnt work, try the range sensor, also called a neutral safety switch. I just replaced mine yesterday.

hey can you remake the video and tell us more about your morning and be very detailed about what time you woke up,did you stumble to step over anything on the way to the restroom to pee,was the toilet seat closed and you had to lift the lid? did it seem like it ran longer than normal after you flushed? did you wash your hands and go make breakfast? what did you make? did it fill you up completely? hate to sound like im prying here but these are all things we need to desperately know in order to better comprehend the solution to fixing our transmission in our POS ford for $5. you say you pulled bad fuses that were unrelated which a normal person may think isnt important but you know us americans,we got all fkn day,please tell us what they went to,what caused them to blow,how did you get them out,did you use a little plastic pos fuse removal tool or did you use a quarter or plyers? we need to know these things. also please include the status of the weather,whats the temp?

Actually u don't have to pull the fuses to check them u can use a test light there r little holes on the back of each fuse and if there's not power on both sides of the fuse then the fuse is blown,, key on

Stani Kubai check your transmission fluid to see if there are any metal shavings in it. If you do have shavings then your going to need a new or used transmission

mine is doing it also 02 f150 fx4 with the 5.4 just out of the blue when I put it in reverse it goes right in like normal but when I go to put it in drive it's like it's in neutral for a minute and then it'll like Clank into the gear and go and when you go it's like normal until you stop again

Ryan Radatz 2001 4.6 F150 last week It seems like I lost overdrive and reverse. In od and Rev it's like being in neutral. I've been getting by a few days using od turned off and I went from not being able to maintain 30 to driving 60/65 with od off. I'll check fuses soon, thanks.

SUPRREME DUBS if you keep blowing fuses something is shorting out. The only thing I can think of is trace your wiring to see if you have a bare wire somewhere. If you can’t find it unfortunately a mechanic will your best shot.

If a fuse blows, that means there is an issue with the electrical system and you need to track down the problem. You're just showing people how to catch their car/truck on fire. DO NOT USE THIS AS A PERMANENT FIX.
