Make sure to check your owners manual as to the specifications on the torque. I was an idiot and followed the wrong torque (100 or 115) and didn’t re-torque my wheels either. Stupid mistake but 4 studs broke off, and when I took the wheel off to check one of the remaining two broke off. Thankfully nobody was hurt on the highway and thankfully everyone made it home safe. I still feel like shit over this mistake, so spreading awareness wherever I see fit.

Best thing to do is just get a set of good quality solid one piece lug nuts.

I recently replaced my oem lug nuts with Gorilla lug nuts. I love them. How you like those scorpion tires you running?

I'll look into them. Are gorilla security lug nuts only? not crazy about that. If they are solid I think I'd like them. I've always liked pirelli tires. My wife, who drives this truck the most, wanted an aggressive tread pattern for snow. I prefer less aggressive for less noise and longevity. These have worn well and the noise is bearable. With over 100k on the truck it may be close to time to replace some parts. I can rotate the tires and its quiet for a while then some tire noise returns. We have driven on these tires to both Florida from NYS and Houston and they still look great.

What year is your truck and isn’t the torque supposed to be 150 foot pounds. My 2018 owner’s manual says 150 pounds, but my dealer does it at 110😮

I believe that is correct. With a wrench.

Very stylish wheels, if you want to roll dubs to the clubs, but do farmers ride on chrome rims? Maybe marijuana farmers, I don't know what the kids are up to nowadays.

You should see what real farmers have here in NYS. This ain't "Green Acres" anymore, my friend.
