F2004 Nordschleife in under 4 Minutes - Assetto Corsa - Modded F2004

There is a mod out there for the Kunos F2004 that adds slick tires to it. The mod also adds a few other chassis, which reduce weight, add horsepower, and a few other tweeks. This is one of those chassis. In this mod pack, this is the A-Spec trim, which brings it up to over 1,200 bhp. Jimmy Broadbent has done a video of this mod a while back, and that's how I found it.
I've uploaded a video of this same car/track combo just last year, and until recently it was my most viewed video. I was going to re-upload it with T-Cam, but decided that I would give it another go, and try to improve my time. I'm glad I did that, because this past year, apparently I've become less scared of the Nordschleife, and took off over 15 seconds on my previous best time.
Even though it's a fictitious version of a car, it was still fun and challenging to run the Nordschleife at those speeds. And believe it or not, there is a faster chassis of this car in the mod pack...

So I remember first downloading the Red Bull X2010 and thinking it would be fun to try and drive around the Nordschleife in under 4:00.000. Managed to do it after many frustrating attempts, but I think I almost broke my feeble brain in the process. Just too fast for me. This is awesome. It really makes me want to try it while simultaneously making me feel like I need a more relaxing hobby. Nice lap.

Thanks. Those speeds definitely made me feel like my brain was melting. But luckily this car has so much grip, that any minor mistakes aren't punished too harshly. That and the muscle memory I've built up of the nordschleife made this lap not too tricky. You should give it a go, even if you don't run full-send, it's a good time.

Omg 1200hp, no wonder the V10s wasn't allowed to be developed further after 2005, also we get why no slick tyres wasn't allowed, I mean this beast would make the Rimac Nevera seem like a boat and a modern MotoGP seem like a moped.

@@DropkickNation Real times would be a bit slower but not much. Doing 6:11.13 in a 956 was absolutely insane. But that car is like a sloth compared to an F2004 with 1263 hp and slick tyres. The biggest problem would be the driver. To keep going with such forces would require a top shape and only a very short distance (like one lap on the Nordschleife).

@@jakubkrcma lol No. It wouldn't require top shape or a short track. It would be absolutely impossible. We had world class race drivers, including the record holder Timo Bernhard, say that the fastest cars around tracks like the 919 Evo were borderline when it came to reaction times and g forces. There is no way in hell that anyone could go over a minute faster around the Nordschleife with machinery like that. It's not about what can be built. It's about what can be driven.

@@DropkickNation I think F2004 with 1263 hp and slicks could be driven at the limit for one lap. Whether the result would be 4:30 or 4:00, that is a question (maybe the tyres would be a limiting factor there). But adding 300+ hp and putting slicks on isn't beyond the possible. If someone can drive the regular F2004 for several sessions over the weekend, they could do one lap of the Nordschleife with a "tuned" version.

It looks like the link is dead in my video, and other peoples videos who have done similar content. There is another slicks mod for the F2004 on RD but it's not the same as I used. Hopefully the link is dead only temporarily.
