I now understand the reasons behind a whipple supercharger not being a direct bolt on for a 6.2L beyond 2014. I'm happy to see a whipple on a 2015+ 6.2L that works. I've been going down the same road as the truck owner in the video, using bolt on's, headers & full exhaust, etc. But I did not purchase a whipple s/c that just wouldn't work out of the box. Excited to see that a whipple s/c has been added safely. Looking forward to what's next.....will be in touch!

I’m wanting to do this with my 6.2 but I’m not sure how much it will benefit from this and how high millage would handle this, I came from owning nothing but diesels soo gas performance is kinda new to me.

@@brandinhutcheson1479 as long as, the vehicle is not burning oil. And, it is in normal good mechanical condition. You will see a very marked improvement. Check out some of the other of our KZbin videos. We recently posted a video with a vehicle with over 300,000 on it. After, we tune a vehicle it is not the same vehicle that you drive home. It is now, the vehicle, that you always thought you purchased. But you were disappointed by. The shifting is much better. Much smoother, and the power that you have available at all times, definitely... A big increase. A big increase. Much less driver input, and a lot more, satisfaction out of your vehicle.

I cannot imagine feeding a work truck with 93 octane every time I fill up. If I could get away with 87 or 89 octane and use a procharger on my 22 F250 7.3 I would do it but feeding a 48 gallon tank with 93 would be expensive and I wouldn't be able to keep my foot from stomping the gas pedal

I love how you have a 'turbo' fan installed into the ducting (0:47 ). Not sure if its an exhaust fan of just a blower in a heat duct run, but it looks cool, especially in a shop specializing in boost & a dyno!👌🏻👍🏻😄💨🛠️🔧🔩🇺🇸

Hello. We built it manufactured it. One off. A dual plate would also work

@internationaldynoauthority693 after we ran into issues and found out that the gt500 tb won't work. I did come across the vmp loki tb adapter. It bolts up to the front of the whipple and allows the oem tb to be used its just not as a smooth of a transition as yours. What software was used for tuning, hp tuners, sct or something else.
@internationaldynoauthority693 Жыл бұрын
@@oakleyfreak45 we strictly trying to use only HP tuners. It's quite a bit more software than any of the other platforms. And, our main tuner Wally. Definitely is much better with it than anything else. Also, because it is engineering software. We're able to make a lot of things work that normally wouldn't work with other software because you can't just pull it from a table. Such as SCT which we do also use for some of the old old 1980, 1990 mustangs

What was the need for custom work if the kit comes with everything plus tuning?
@internationaldynoauthority6932 жыл бұрын
KIT did not arrive with any tuning, no basefile..... and Whipple was of NO help. (when we were done, they ASKED us for OUR help) Kit is Made for a RAPTOR ......this is an F250,,,,, throttle body did NOT have a base program. Base file was not available for the F250 computer (different ECU than a Raptor) all injector data and Map / maf / Fuel tables and Throttle body had to spend hours just to get it to run. Then tune. The KIT was JUST supercharger and PHYSICAL components. this video is about the NEED to tune it , just to make it run....... THEN: tuning the afr , then camshaft tuning, then proper ignition timing for 91 pump.

4:57 Again we explain the data for this Truck for this ECU would not even allow the truck to run
@internationaldynoauthority6932 жыл бұрын
5:20 We make the first pass, fueling needs a LOT of help. Now we begin step by step tuning to make this truck run clean, fast and have HUGE horsepower safely.
@internationaldynoauthority6932 жыл бұрын
You are CORRECT. IF you were to purchase a whipple kit for "supported" platform it would come with: data for the supported ECU to match the whipple throttle body, injector, a Base file which will start and run your vehicle. But in order to realize the FULL performance of your new whipple you would still need to drive to a Dyno that tunes with HP TUNERS and optimize AFR , Fuel curve, boost curve, and cam timing , along with ignition timing settings for the fuel that YOU are going to burn.

@internationaldynoauthority69311 ай бұрын
Customers are purchasing a supercharger kit that is designed for the 6.2 raptor. The only difference is you need to use the throttle body from your current setup. And you need a base tuned, with your fuel injector data. After that we can tune this
@jefferyryan831111 ай бұрын
Oh ok, so a 2014 Raptor supercharger will bolt up. just the Mod to make the stock throttle body bolt up?
@internationaldynoauthority69311 ай бұрын
@@jefferyryan8311 Yes, and you will need the exact fuel injector data. And the exact fuel injector data will need to be input into the computer. And then you'll need to find a very, very very talented Ford tuner, who is able to use HP tuners. At that point, they should be able to tune this and make it run
@internationaldynoauthority69311 ай бұрын
@@jefferyryan8311 It will fit physically. Because it's the same engine. But the computer is different. And it you'll need to check the length of the wiring on your throttle body extension. We also had to extend the wires to the throttle body

Wtf is "artificial boost"?
@internationaldynoauthority6932 ай бұрын
@@Starlesslemon The best way to understand it, will be to get out your pen and paper. Watch the video I have included. But be aware, Gail Banks along with Steve Morris are going to be teaching you things. If you're not careful, you will learn a lot. Gail Banks breaks this down as cleanly as any video I've ever seen. Once you understand the function of a map sensor, truly understand what air density is. Your eyes will open wider, to a whole new world and you'll stop talking about pounds of boost. And start talking about air density.
@@Projects815 All boost is based on compressing current atmosphere. If, you have 100 kilopascals, and you compress that. You get a value of x. Every time the atmosphere goes up, for example, let's just use an easy number. 101 kilopascals. You're starting with a higher compressible atmosphere. Thereby, the result will be more boost. In general we look at atmosphere as 14.7 lb per square inch per square meter you choose per square foot. So if we take 14.7 lb and we add one atmosphere we have doubled that. For easy figuring we would say, We now have 29.4 lb of boost. However, on a better atmosphere day. You might have as much as 15.3 lb of atmosphere. Which is going to give you 30.6 lb of boost. Same exact setup. Same vehicle, same supercharger, same turbo etc etc. But, you get artificial boost because you start out with a greater number. The amount that you boosted is always the same. We are simply boosting atmosphere. Atmospheric pressure, going down, or less air density, means less power. Power. More air density and, anytime it's greater than 14.7 gives you free artificial boost. In Words you did not alter your setup, to increase boost, you were given free boost based on more atmospheric pressure. Artificial boost
