I already learned F2L a long time ago, but I enjoy watching people teach the ways of the cube and you did a great job! You're a really good teacher, you break it down into small steps that are easy to grasp and that makes it fun to learn.

This is probably the most helpful video out there to date. I'm still struggling with some of the pairing but I appreciate the method of solving without memorizing a bunch of algorithms.

It’s almost painful for me to watch the example Solves because I do them so that they’re understandable to beginners, not so that they’re efficient. And when watching them I see all of the little efficiencies that I’m not doing and it’s hard to watch.

Learning f2l and can do everything pretty quick until i come to the last pair, every time i try to insert the last pair i keep messing up the slots that i had already done i so frustrating i almost have to stop completely and think about the last pair and this wrecks my times.
@K4Cubing Жыл бұрын
You should really just practice with slow solves. eventually you'll just get better and better at it and it will come naturally.
@crumkill Жыл бұрын
@K4Cubing been practicing flat out for past month can solve the first 3 pairs into their slots naturally now but its the last one that stops me in my tracks, is there any special method to install the last pair without wrecking the previous ones.
@Boyish000 Жыл бұрын
@crumkill while this video has been the best F2L tutorial due to that vocabulary lesson in the beginning and K4 sticking with it, that issue you're having is something that isn't specifically covered. You have to rotate that top layer to get those solved corners out of the way. Use that final unsolved corner as your space to rearrange pieces. Then rotate that top layer back again. Hard to explain over text but like K4 said, "practice with slow solves" just really take your time. Tinker with it and don't give up. You're able to solve 3 corners. You got this
@crumkill Жыл бұрын
@Boyish000 Thanks for reply, i solved the problems i had with the getting the last slot inserted with wrecking the others, now i just have to learn to do cross and f2l fast before i move onto oll and pll its taking me ridiculously long to do cross and f2l like around a minute which is useless when my overall goal is to solve the complete cube using cfop inside 1 minute, any ideas on how to speed up my cross and f2l.
@K4Cubing Жыл бұрын
@@crumkill You really just need to pay attention to what's happening when you mess up. What I assume you're doing is using moves that bring already-solved pairs into the top layer while inserting the final pair. A good way to fix a problem like this is to do your solves slowly, Identify the problem and why it's happening, then figure out how to fix it, do solves slowly, and you'll get faster and faster.
@swedishrainbow_garden7672 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think I could follow this as a beginner and I still think you should show efficiencies too. Like why bring a pair up with its slot open and move it over just to open its slot again and put it in. Just show it as a flow motion instead where you pair and insert.
@K4Cubing Жыл бұрын
Because it’s training the concept and idea of pairing the pieces
@surge127 Жыл бұрын
This is a beginner f2l video not advanced where you start learning how to be efficient and memorize some f2l algs. Even this way is faster than doing 1st later than 2nd layer

In all seriousness, there are more simplified (but less efficient) methods that you can surely learn. I would recommend checking out J Perm's Beginner/Intermediate F2L tutorials.

just understand the 3 rules... then learn the 18 example solves at the end...... got you,,.,,,, Your 3 rules failed badly because they did not show you how to pair up without disturbing already solved edges. You tried to not state rules but failed badly and made it look far much harder than what it is (I guess you wanted a different take on the 200 video already out there showing you exactly what you tried and failed to show)
