after 3 and half years of playing this game, i've got 1 and 3/4 feet out the door....meta is boring as hell after disc nerf, prices have gone up to insanity....cut resources to the point where there is almost no incentive to play....never addressed rampant cheating and sp dropping in tourney....can't even swap a weapon for less than $100...its just a tired, beatdown scam at this point....thanks Scape for the vid bro

Hey Scape! I wanted to ask you, I am currently in tier 5, and I've got 20 stars, I have about 11.7k acoins saved up ( took me 3+ months ), I did some calculations and to get to t7 I would be left with around 6k acoins left ( cheapest path => arc 10, mortar 12, javs 12, frag 14, jav 16, I alr unlocked panther and killshot ) I was aiming to get either surge or em rifle 12 but I am not sure if going this way is kinda a waste of a coins. What do you think is the best path? Current hangar: Arachnos helix 8; Killshot frag 12; Panther disc 8; Guardian missile rack 8s; Zephyr frags 8 Also, do you know how often research event playoffs happen? ( the ones with mechs and weapons as rewards ), Some people told me they kinda stopped doing them, and Im kinda unsure whether to wait or start upgrading my hangar ( I rly need an upgrade ). Lots to talk about so ill try my best to hit various notes. 1 - If you are on T5, you still need 10 stars to get to the next tier right? Once you get to T5 and onward, I generally stop worrying entirely about whats the cheapest and see if there is anything worth keeping long term. You already have some great items like panther and killshot, but arachnos is not something I would try to keep. Hes really bad even though hes hanging on with helix. I think in your things to get on t5, I would really recommend Aegis. Its super good right now and end game worthy. So I would rather see you get him than like arc10s which are of similar cost and since you arent running an arc build, may not even be that useful. Do you also have nade 10? Those are quite cheap and would be better than something like Jav 12s to me unless you plan on running the javs in some fashion (less do since helix and cryo jav12s are a thing) 2 - I assume this also covers T6 right? You did mention a few things related to that but I am not sure how many stars you have or how many you need. You did mention a couple things to get that are cheap, but likely wont provide a ton of value unless you plan to build them like RM12. Not bad items, but not ideal for right now (not much is at 24 energy to dual) and not the best for long haul vs other builds. T6 does have a good variety of great weapons to get. I personally have been very happy with the general value for play ive gotten out of GB10s. I also think Orion is awesome and some consider it top tier/end game. I think its close, but not quite there. That said, zephyr with frags is probably underperforming so its something to consider unless you think you can power through. Hard to do for the long term fs. 3 - Of the 2 options at the end (surge vs EM12), I generally lean towards surge more. There are so many instances he becomes useful and is a top tier mech. That said, if you are a crack shot, EM12s are also top tier and could rank higher for your style of play. I just know for myself and given the overall usefulness and counters in all modes, surge ranks a bit higher. Also I know your goal is Surge, but if you are on T5, you probably still have a ways to get him sadly. Sure you can go the uber cheap route like it seems like you are trying to do. In that I commend you. But I also think pushing hard to get one item will leave you with few options for the rest of your hangar and that will be just as important as the one item you are gunning for. I can see myself hitting real players, making a good beacon cap with surge and going toe to toe with other scouts and making good trades. Only to then be left with stuff like arachnos and zephyr.....yet I really dont like that idea. I think at least having a few high category mechs is going to be key as you progress. Hey Scape I have a tip for you. When your mech is stunned and about to be destroyed or when your mech is being hit and you know its health is short for you to take down the enemy.. Press the map or the pause button. After your mech dies, click change mech. This way, you should be able to get back to the field fast without waiting for the 5 second countdown. But take note: don't click change mech yet if your mech isn't fully destroyed or else the selection will disappear.

Yes I did think about Asami, but given the acoin cost for a bot build, it just was hard for me to do directly. Also, I kinda assume Ingrid will have ECR sometime soon that will be either connected to events or be for credits and net me a cheaper cost. So im holding off for now.

If I were you, I would upgrade to Eclipse, and actually, my Eclips is exactly in the same place as yours right now and I am saving acoins. When you get 20 energy to upgrade Eclipse, the weapon options you can use on it will increase. (You make great videos, your analysis of the game is great)

they somewhat can. it used to do it much better, but after they adjusted the trajectory of those weapons to make it better, the barrier is harder to block all missiles with. So I typically still take some damage.

@@scape211 But I thought that Barrier doesnt block them at all. In official spotlight video for Panther, the devs said countering Panther can be done with Javs/Helixes/RM and other radius weapons that can go over the barrier. Nades and Cryo Launchers can possibly do dmg?

@@guarddragon00 it entirely depends on the angle and other factors like if the panther user has the barrier height implant. Panther isnt totally at a loss against these weapons, but he cant easily avoid them like he could. Most salvos still hit him some like this one did to me.

I generally agree with the thought structure, but as F2P, most of the mechs I want to use are medium mechs and maxing out ANY mech will take too long. I can use panther and guardian to get something to 24, but its less than ideal and that's limiting for the types of weapons I will want (EG12 on guardian is ok, but not as good as on surge, eclipse, or nomad). 10 energy weapons arent overly expensive to upgrade to dual copies and will fit my hangar for the foreseeable months.

Missile Rack with radius Imp is still a good weapon. I play them mostly on Seeker. This harmonizes very well, as the long reload time + the time with teleports and seekers decay time fits well together. You can also upgrade Eclipse to rank 6 and play GB10. Or the EM10. It takes a lot of moons to bring a Rank6 Mech to purple Star as an F2P😂

I personally dont feel I play missile racks well, but I know others who do and it can be very deadly. So i definitely see the value there. And yes - I may run GB10s on Eclipse too. Ive debated on certain builds and what I will do moving forward as other mechs get to 20 energy so its been considered for some general play. I dont think its ideal against players going closer to the top, but its not bad in general for sure.

I'm not the best MR player either. But Seeker is where I get along best. On Eclipse most people play EMs. Embergun is more for FFA or even 2v2 very good. There are also a few who play Nade Launcher very well on Eclipse. You get the Nade10 with credits. Maybe an option for you too. But Dual EM10 is the best build for 6 stars Eclipse

But your F2P hangar is already really good with your Eclipse. But slowly it is getting harder and harder to improve it, without money.

You said frag 8s in your other comment. Those are a good choice since they are cheap. Guardian is one of those mechs that some take to end game and others don’t. So if you aren’t sure frag8 s are a very light investment to play around with.

Stalker is a decent mech, but hes not one I kept in my hangar for long. And since you will be going to T5 next 2 great mechs (aegis and redeemer) and even a cheap decent grab with zephyr it may not be worth the acoins. That said, 10 stars is still a decent amount so it depends on what you can grab for cheap to push through. T5 is where items start to get better that you can invest more into.

if you dont have a good scout, the redeemer first. MR8 is decent, but its fairly expensive now. So its a 50/50 for most players.

I say get surge if you really want it. It’s a very strong mech, definitely more useful than most weapons you could get now. Though I know I’m not the opinion you’re looking for, IMO the 5 best mechs are these, from best to worst: CPC: 1. Nomad 2. Aegis 3-4. Surge or Eclipse (pretty much interchangeable imo) 5. Panther 5v5: 1.Aegis 2.Nomad 3.Panther 4.Bastion 5.Surge or Eclipse 2v2 1. Hemlock 2. Seeker 3. Bastion 4. Nomad 5. Surge FFA 1. Eclipse 2. Bastion 3. Nomad 4. Vortex (idfk what I’m talking about so take this with a grain of salt) 5. Surge

Both are great. I personally put Surge a little higher on the list given that hes useful everywhere. EMs have some small areas they lose some value like on certain 2v2 maps where you can close the distance fast. However, it largely depends on playstyle. If you are a great sniper or enjoy sniping, I would get the EMs first as they will likely serve you better. Ultimately you will want to get both eventually imo.

Scape I left mech arena and joined 4 months ago I am currently iam on tier 4 23 stars I recently bought the helix 8 Now I have almost 800k credits for the next tier Now as I said missile rack 8 is important but the? Cost is 3k a coins Now give tips to get more acoins in a month The way I calculated I will get 200 acoins in 5 day which is 1200 acoins +10 acoins for 3000credits spend which is 300 acoins =1500 acoins any more tips for me to buy missile rack 8 in 1 month

the regular route of getting acoins doing the regular daily stuff can net you about 2k acoins per month. You got the monthly and dailies, but we often get events for about 100 acoins roughly once a week and then doing ads for crates nets a few more each. This gets to around 2k per month give or take. If you want MR8 in a month, youll have to play tourney to make up the difference.

I do want to get RG12, but im realizing that most mechs I want to use will take a long time to get to 24 energy so 10 energy weapons will be an option I have to consider especially for weapons that allow me to remain competitive. And since RG12 doesnt really have any other options beyond end game builds of 24 ad 32 energy, its kinda limiting for my current hangar. I will get those in the future if I play this hangar that long though.

I also encounter losts of legy mechs and weapons even at 2.5k SP. And I regularly play against 3.5-4k players which is crazy, I manage to win some of those matches so thats proly why MM is giving me such opponents. Nomad and Eclipse are 2 mechs that most players have at this level, I also encounter Brickhouse, sometimes even at 5 stars and hes rly hard to kill bruh he has 160k HP and even my Surge with Frags cant kill him, I take around 50% of his HP only cause my frags have 80k dmg combined lol. I dont feel encouraged to go more than 5k SP because I cant imagine what kind of maxed ppl will I encounter 😂

Yea it seems hard for the MM system to get people together when the primary focus seems to be skill and SP. The value for stuff is all over the map too. I mean I got Eclipse early and it sounds like you got Surge early so I can somewhat see why we hit higher enemies. But lots of people buy or get stuff early here and there. So various people probably have the same issue.

@@scape211 Yeah. I got Surge literally the first week when I started playing the game around 3 months ago. But he is now at only 3 stars, I also got 3* Nomad but I try winning without those 2, I spawn them if I die with all other 3 mechs. Tho I also often encounter all legy mech hangars with 3k+ SP's, and some of SP droppers with lower star mechs but maxed weapons like EM, Discs, Rails etc.

Check how many blueprints do you have means yeah 2x chaingun10 don't make that sense but still you can use it by miss match preety well but single gb10 sucks atleast wait to get almost 10-12 blueprints of gb10 so that you can make its second copy don't waste credits..

Generall speaking GB10 is a much better weapon; more accurate, less range, less exposure time. However, suraj makes a great point; a single GB10 is going to take MUCH longer to hit implosion than dual. So if you dont have enough blueprints and dont want to spend acoins to do the levels to rank it up once, then it might be tough to use. But even in that state, I think I prefer it over chaingun 10.

some people have invested so much in them they have to use them for lack of other options. For me, I still find them quite useful with my hangar. At top end, discs arent as good. At this point for this hangar, they still remain relevant imo.
