Mostly my legendaries lol so ME PERSONALLY I’m like HEY Royal Ghost and Princess in the shop? That’ll help me get them up a little, and it’s great for ME because I don’t use them too much anyway, but again for everybody it limits the freedom to choose what they upgrade. For some people it’s not the worst, but for most people it’s a nightmare.

Ranked and TR are gonna be a pain if you’re not leveled up, but the casual modes and events can still be fun! Plus there’s always the chance your lucky drop will give you something epic! And by epic I mean really good, because I hope you get legendaries 😂👑🩵

I didn't think of this until recently, but I don't know that they will keep F2P completely stranded. Magic items and wildcards came to the game in what I believe was called the Update for Losers after a long period of decline and community anger, so I don't think they'd be silly enough to make them COMPLETELY unavailable. Lucky drops are getting a buff so hopefully F2P will be able to get items that make up for it. The issue that really gets to me is that it's IMPOSSIBLE to claim everything in the season shop. You can't save tokens for the next season, and even if you have the pass and claimed every season token available it still wouldn't be enough. I think they need a new, separate F2P seasonal path that allows you to get tokens and maybe some wildcards too, so people can grind crowns in order to make the most of the season.

sadly u have rose tinted glasses back in the day when they released a new card it could take MONTHS to finally get it f2p ESPECIALLY legendaries i played daily for 2 years straight and only had half of the ledendaries and there was way less back then not to mention upgrading said legendaries was nearly IMPOSSIBLE without spending money while im not happy with the f2p progression in clash but its way better for f2p players than when they were constantly adding new cards.... 1 thing ill say is it felt so good to get a new epic/legendary that you didnt have before i remember i had been playing for months and made it to a high arena and had no legendaries i pulled a sparky at school out of a daily free chest and that was the best clash moment of all time for me legendaries back then really did feel legendary

The reason they removed them is so you won't be able to upgrade the dagger duchess without paying real money, they probably realized it was a mistake to make wild card usable to tower troops and now they couldn't just remove the feature without people realizing what they're doing

As a f2P player at arena 18, this is outragous, To level up my cars to level 13 and 14 I RELIE on Books and wildcards from the shop, so this is Killing F2P. The only reaso that you should play everyday is the Luckyboxes and The 1000 tokens on the shop, Now You dont even need the 1000 tokens becouse you cant get your wildcars

I have every common and rare at level 14 at this point. I’m close to the end of my progression and completely relied on the season shop for the few epics and legendaries I haven’t yet upgraded (then PoL for champs). Upgrading cards when you’re extremely far into progression is near enough impossible, I’m only this far because I have 6 years of experience under my belt. I’m super lucky to be in the position I am now - I can only imagine what it’s like to be so much further from being maxed.

I created a new account solely to experience the F2P journey, and let me tell you, it was quite a struggle. Upgrading cards takes an eternity, and facing opponents with level 14 cards feels like an uphill battle. I understand that they're a company and need to make money to survive and progress, but I can't help feeling that they've really gone too far in making the game feel unfair for new F2P players

I honestly just quit the game, it is just not fun anymore. I was mid ladder and I really enjoyed playing ranked and then they raised all the maximum card levels significantly. It’s just not too fun anymore for a more casual player having to deal with everything they do. Maybe I’ll go back and try that game again if it changes for the better which I highly doubt

I completely understand your frustration! I've boosted my progression through the season pass and buying decent offers for the year and a half I've been playing and I'm STILL not maxxed, though I am getting somewhat close. If I were you I might still consider at LEAST doing the daily challenges by playing the Casual 1v1 or 2v2 modes that way you won't feel over whelmed and can still spin that lucky box to MAYBE get something pretty good! But of course it's up to you! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🩵

As an arena 18 f2p player its gotten pretty much impossible to progress without lvl 14 or god forbid lvl 15 cards. The lucky drop books are a great thing, but they're not worth it if you cant even get a card to lvl 13 in the first place. Also completely unrelated evolutions seem to be making specific decks either broken or horrible, I swaer if theres a balloon or ebarbs evo im actually done. At least Supecell aren't removing the books from the season shop. Famous last words

True! 😭 And OH MY GOODNESS I remember being stuck in arena 18, but I was able to boost my progression through the season passes! But for f2p I feel for you! The only way I used to semi-survive was because I had my first main deck hog 2.6 at lvl 14, and even then it was a struggle! Side note: Hog 2.6 was my main because when I started I looked up the best hog deck because Hog Rider was my favorite… I didn’t know it was so hated 😂😭

To progress at all I rely on the books and wild cards from the shop and to upgrade cards from 12-13 and 13-14. Cannonier was never buffed it was more of a bug fix (before the buff it had 7.5 range in game and after the buff it was also 7.5 range in game) which is supposed to be the same as the princess tower (it's still a somewhat of a buff but for me it was more of a bug fix)

honestly when i learned about that as a f2p i wasnt rlly pissed off cuz of my main, but all my mini accounts, i've an almost maxed deck (lvl13) so i just wait for books to max my cards, i just got pissed because i needed 2 legendaries only to get my graveyard to level 13. but yeah, all my other mini accounts are in a terrible state now that wild cards have been removed from the season shop, and on top of that, when they put a card in the season shop u can buy 10, now it's only 5...

Sooo. About that point about Clash Mini. Clash Mini was not globally released, so they weren't on the same level as Clash Royale. Supercell often kills their games due to their goal of making games that last and give good memories. A game thats global, but in such a bad state that it had to be shut down, has never happened before. And i personally dont think it will. Supercell's least popular game is by far Boom Beach and dedpite that its still around, recently becoming 10 years old.

The dagger duchess is not a legendary tower with a unique ability, its just a princess tower with a unique modifier which should of been the update to customise your defence abit better and allow for greater variety in interactions. A legendary tower to me would be something like a zap tower which stuns the enemies crossing the bridge but deals lower damage perhaps. If they think this is a legendary mechanic then dont hold much hope for anything exciting and game changing in the future.

You can play path of legends and get the rewards every single season with the lucky drops it should take you like 2 seasons to get at least 5/8 cards to level 13(with the season shop you should get some to level 14)

I had to grind whole season to get the 3 evo archer shards, the rare book, the evo wild shard and a few wc's and thought to myself: at least next season i'd be able to grind out more wild cards since the evo's won't be necessary for me... the f2p struggle is real. Good thing I saved a few tokens to get the legnedary wc's from this season shop so I now have 18 legendary wc's for the new troop

Man, I feel for you! I’m a filthy little goblin so I paid for all the evos, but I DEFINITELY know that the grind for shards is real since I did that myself when they first came out! I'm a f2p player, kind of. I bought 1 diamond pass in my life and that shit didn't even help, I soooo regret not buying pass royale when it had a book of books and was CHEAPER. Not only that but I'm currently in royal crypt and I'm going against almost maxed players while most of my cards are around level 11 or 12 on average. Over the years it is ridiculous how much this game has become pay to win. I love the video though, really underrated!

supercell removes the legendary wild card so we can't upgrade the new tower, but we have twice as many legendary in the chopper and it's not that difficult to get the new tower in chests

My guess is people who were grinding for the wildcards were maybe lvling cards up too quickly, and it was leading to people on ladder being lvl 9 or 10, and facing people who were the same skill lvl, but had 2-3 cards or more that were maybe lvl 12 or higher, and it was unfair. It would just be so nice to have a little transparency from the team. They must realize that players may quit the game bc of this one nerf. But if explained whyn they did it, players may say "Oh, that explanation makes sense. I dont love the decision, but I see where they're coming from." Supercell can DO BETTER. 💯

This is a great video! One of my main problems with Clash Royale at the moment is how overwhelming it would be for returning players. People who thought “I should try Clash Royale again!!” would be met by things they would barely understand, Evolutions, Tower Troops, the Tower Troops needing to be leveled up on your own time, Level 15, Etc. They had such great ideas, but got screwed over by the mindset of “If it costs more, we’ll make more money!!” Which realistically doesn’t work out. I think potentially they might realize soon how bad they’ve screwed themselves over, and as you said, give people rewards to try and make things right.

I literally only ever bought wild cards from the season shop. I bought the evo shards and the books, and occasionally the emote, but that's only around 20,000 tokens, aka less than 20 days. Now, I have nothing to do with my additional 10+ days worth of season tokens

I do have some feedback though, if you can get better at reading your script because i assume thats what you are looking down at, if you can get better at reading and remembering you wont have to look down as much! Also try and maybe put your script somewhere near the camera or infront of you, not below, it is harder for the viewer to tell you are looking at one that way!

Thank god i moved into brawl stars a year ago, its been getting worse and worse for CR every update, hell even drew left recently. Unless they're willing to give multiple lucky drops a day I doubt this game's f2p playerbase will last for another year. I can also feel this game's slow demise when i played abour a year ago 2v2 matches were instant but when i reinstalled the game today to get the free TT 2v2 took me atleast 10+ seconds to load up a match.
