Divide the players into PvP and PvE. It might stop your envy? You might not be able to complete the game fastest without spending lots. You can however progress fast by just *being active*. And helping out your alliance, of course.

What I think what screws over many new (F2P) players is the Island Tactics. It makes the player believes he/she needs to invest into multiple line of strong unitsk early on. Another aspect is luck, luck which heroes you get when you starting out with that synergize well. On my first account I had bad luck with the heroes i was getting (and I didn't played too well either being all new and that). On the second account and on new server, I had better luck to have good pairing right off the bat to make a starting (main) archer, sword, pike line-up as totally F2P. Around TC14 I started to run into not enough XP tomes for all the heroes. Using the coupon for discount on week pass ($1) to get that daily 2M XP tomes was nice way to quickly level up the main heroes at this early stage, and some extra XP left as starting basis for a future 2nd line up. This purchase apparently also counted as "first-time top up" and i was offered the Mulan/Leonidas choice. Choosing Mulan seemed a solid choice to build on the already archer main line up (Josephine, Derrick), instead of starting over on the pike line with Leonidas. Where you also need luck is with the wheelspin in Legendary Advent. This is probably one of the best place for F2P players to score a great hero for their F2P line up.

Hi, i would like to know in order to unlock the hero skill, is there any way to get the item(skill) for free in event or quest ? or you have to spend 8k coin, because I want to get double attack skill one for josephine

well most of the items you wanna get show where they can be got - for now with coins OR there was one path where you were doing quests and if you buy the second floor you can have 3 universal skill emblems - but you need to pay to open the second floor - this is so far my information

@@skye42s89 There are certain reoccuring alliance events where you can earn lots of empire coins (Trojan horse comes to mind, but there are more). Participate in them and be with a good alliance that scores high on the ranking. I saved up all my empire coins only to acquire hero skills. Some of my F2P alliance mates preferred to use it on VIP progress for the boost it gives on production. I think in the 3 weeks I have been playing on one account, ! have collected over 25k empire coins from just playing and doing as many high value missions/event i could.
