Great video... I can't wait to try this... I tried to learn how to fly RC planes many years ago... I crashed two planes and gave up... I still have all the equipment... I purchased top of the line at the time... In my city they make you buy insurance and get a license and be a member of the AMA to learn to fly... Now I see you must register with the FAA... I will need to look into what all is required before I get back into fly RC planes... I think I can learn it better this time with all the flight simulators for PC and Cell phones now days...

Nice one. Could you please tell me the thickness of the carbon rod you use and the thickness of the foam you used for the wings? Thanks.
@rbilleaud9 жыл бұрын
I realize you are trying to do this so that even the most novice builder can build one of these planes, but there were times that the descriptions were a little tedious and repetitive. That said, this is an ingenious design and the perfect build for someone who is interested in getting into rc flying without the huge initial investment. The big plus is that when that first crash happens (as it always does when you're first learning) it won't destroy a plane that you've spent hours building and hundreds of dollars on. I'm even thinking of building one for myself to take down to the soccer fields by my house just for fun flying. Heck of a lot easier than bringing my glow powered plane and all that goes along with it for just a few hours of casual flying.

@pxlbudsmooth6869 жыл бұрын
Well I'm asking how did you make the ailerons go opposite direction at the same time?
@F3HDemonDriver19 жыл бұрын

so you went from a 2S battery to a 3S and had far better power, correct? on my foam scratch trainer, i think im going to go with 3S. I have quite a bit of front weight due to steerable landing front wheel but it will all balance out. Tricycle landing gear for me due to steerability. Also, ive got one servo per aileron which with 9G servos is just perfect. Servo's only cost $1.80 usd per unit, so i'm using tons of them. I might even add flaps, have you ever worked with flaps? should I put them in place? and could i do one servo for both flaps or would you do two servos?
