I have a 2006 version. Test ridden an Ridden FZ09, FZ07, MV Agusta F3 800 and the latest Honda VFR800F, none of them could sway me from my F4i. The F4I is a real keeper in my opinion.

I love mine, don't get me wrong I have my eyes on another bike but I will always have the f4i. Lot of sentiment in the old girl.

Long straight roads. You'd love being up here in the Northeast where we actually have curved roads and hills. Nice review. I rode the F2 and F3 and had a VFR 750.

Great great bike. They all sound the same I love it. People gotta realize this bikes power is 12k and up. Wife still has hers. Do u still have it?

My front brakes were the same, I had cheap Chinese levers on it, now I have ASV Shorty Levers and it has made a huge difference with NG Discs on the front and now the front brakes are perfect.

Found a 2002 for only $1800 stickers are up to date on this month and the guy just bought an r1 and is getting rid of it. Probably gunna jump on that deal. Only problem is the bike is yellow 🤮

Do i just got got my 02 for 1700.. if it your first bix dont expect it to be running perfect. Buying a bike i always think to spend about 3 grand after its all done. After cleaning the fluids and chaning forks and electrical issues on mine i came to a grand total around 3300. Great bike man, i love it.

It's about 90-100 hp on an f4i. They slack behind the rr
@hickonahonda16207 жыл бұрын
julian ageitos yes you are correct. I would imagine it makes 110 at the crank but those figures don't really mean anything. Shoulda had it dynoed when I still had it. Thanks for correcting me.
@rickaustin30777 жыл бұрын
110 bhp from factory I know a few people who have dyno them and running between 100 and 103 bhp get power commander and slip on you can get 110 at wheel

Are the brake lines steel braided? That can dramatically change your brake feel especially on an older bike
@hickonahonda16202 жыл бұрын
They were not. Honda's don't have the best feeling brakes when compared to other brands. The 3 cbrs ive had were usable but yamahas have much more bite factory. My MV 910 has a similar feel to the hondas and my Brutale 1000RR has full brembos but it still doesn't bite as hard as yamahas. Personally I don't care for yamahas brakes they are too aggressive for me

Anyone elses F4I run at a hot temp? I know being in Texas takes a toll on that but at a light i can heat up to 230 easy. Not the biggest fan of Water Wet.
@hickonahonda16205 жыл бұрын
In a city, stop and go traffic, the bike will reach 230 consistently. They don't overheat until 240. I would recommend an ECU flash si you can adjust when the fan comes on but idk of any reputable source that does the f4i.

@hickonahonda16208 жыл бұрын
Fan-fucking-tastic, it's been awhile since I rode without one but it smooths out the steering big time. Plus it gets rid of speed wobbles and head shakes from wheelies. Best $500 investment for a sport bike ever.

Would you suggest this as a good starter bike?
@hickonahonda16208 жыл бұрын
It depends on a lot of things I started on it but I've been riding 4 wheelers and dirtbikes for over 10yrs. the biggest thing is can you look yourself in the mirror and honestly say you're going to take it slow and learn how it does what it does or not. For a more in depth answer watch my video on which bike to buy and if you have any more questions comment and I'll respond.

Spencer Larsen yes!
@julian11able7 жыл бұрын
I'd say yes. It's the most tame 600cc super sport. Like any death machine you gotta take it easy until you know what you're doing. I want it as my first sports bike because I will get a feel for what a sports bike rides like. Half way sitting up and half way tucked in with the handle bar position. They can be cheap af too.

Any drive by cable is hard as shit to get used to coming off the closed throttle. I had my 95 truck at the inspection place and the guy hadn't drive a drive by cable I guess. He literally couldn't get it on the dyno machine and he over gassed it and backed my truck into the office. I was fucking hysterical( and I just let him do it knowing what was coming 😂😂😂)
@hickonahonda16207 жыл бұрын
julian ageitos lol something like that makes me real nervous when it comes to letting others drive my stuff
