About four years ago I broke my right ankle, leading to reconstructive surgery and several months during which I only left my bedroom for doctor appointments or rehab-therapy sessions. I read the whistle was caused by the aerodynamics of the wings affecting the wind passing over that interacted with the barrels to make the whistling noise.
