As much as we all got pissed at Rock trying to inject himself into an ongoing storyline we were all invested in - The truth is that,after they pivoted , he did SPECTACULAR work in this run. Absolutely the best stuff he’s done since he was a regular weekly performer all those years ago. He really did make 40 truly something special - and it’s great that he will be back to feud with Cody and then ( most likely) Roman. Because , as Dave said, Cody has really transformed into a true babyface Superhero right now - the kind WWE has not had since the days of Hulkamania. And everyone knows that the one thing every true Superhero needs…. is a truly powerful menacing dangerous Supervillian. And there is NOBODY in the business right now as menacing - or as dangerous - as The Final Boss.

1:43 Well definitely Night 2 was the best Night 2 of all-time. One reason why most observers liked Night 2 over Night 1 is because Night 2 had a much better opener. Most people liked the show starting with Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre with CM Punk both on commentary, concluding with McIntyre beating Rollins, CM Punk attacking Drew McIntyre, and Priest cashing in to beat McIntyre for the world title over Rhea Ripley carrying a sick strep-throated Becky Lynch for 15-20 minutes.

I don't know how long MJF re-signed for, but surely it has to be the Dynamite Diamond ring. After Cody beats Rock, surely his next major story has to be MJF. If that takes 2 years of MJF under contract then so be it. Personally I think he should have switched at the end of the Devil story and gone to WWE. He can't get any bigger, and can't increase his value to WWE any more than it is already. TK can pay him a ton in the short term, but WWE could make him the next Rock.
