🎄Back in 2001 (pretty much to the day) I told my now very ex husband that I wanted a ‘new Mini’ for Christmas. It never happened and to be honest it wasn’t likely to with 3 young children at home and I was heavily pregnant, actually overdue as my baby had been due on the 17th Dec ‘01. I was still waddling through Christmas with my hugely pregnant tummy and when my daughter was finally born on the 28th December, I named her Mini. As she has grown up, she loves all Mini’s... the classics and BMW’s. She will be 18 in 3 days. She’s not learned to drive yet but I’d love to buy her her first Mini. Just a few months ago before ordering my F56, I was googling my daughters name and saw lots of cars called the MINI RAY which is her surname. I couldn’t believe it that they’d named a special edition in her name 🇬🇧 . If I’d known of that, I would have been cheeky at the garage and caused a bit of publicity at the dealership.

I owned a 2014 Cooper 3cyl turbo with manual...it was pretty peppy and very fun even stock!

Was really hoping for a cooper but because of prices ended up just going for a 2016 f56 cooper s in black, jcw bodykit with the 17s and a nice spec. picking it up tomorrow and can't wait. Thanks for the advice.

The 2021 Copper S F56 question. Does that one come with the B48 motor?

No. At least not for the US market. The US market uses the B46, a derivative of the B48.

They are micro cars but their price is like they are a medium sized suv. They cost too much and don't say they are BMWs because you could buy a 2 or 3 series for the price of the mini. Bmw may own mini but they are still made in the UK so I'd question the quality control too. I owned two minis and they are fun cars but ownership cost and recalls outweigh the fun factor. Its too bad...

All I’d like is a heated driving seat without paying out £900 for a ‘comfort pack’ SO I will be transferring my current heat pad that I have and just plugging it in the lighter socket as a Ive always got such a cold bum, even in knickers, long johns, leggings and either jeans or a maxi skirt. The extra packs are far too expensive.

@@TheMINIac , man, I truly hope BMW follows through with that plan! I test drove a '19 S hardtop 2door (manual, of course, haha) and i absolutely LOVED it! It felt a little soft, but that's just a suspension upgrade away.
