I just bought one with a fried battery. The bike jump started and ran but when I switched it off there wasn't even power to light the dash lamps. I will test stator and regulator output before fitting a new battery. The battery got roasting hot when on a trickle charger. Update: used a voltmeter to test stator and readings were correct so I installed a Battery, not the recommended one, but a smaller size Fireblade one, that can be taken out and put in without stripping half the bodywork, and it's been great, no battery overheating issues. This is the correct starting procedure that Hackjobrepairs is showing us.

Hello can one charge the battery of the F650 CS also while the battery is in the bike or should one charge it indoor where it is more dry and with warm temperature?

The Alternator should charge the Battery in the Bike. It is ok to charge your Battery in your bike. You can put 2 wires from the Battery Terminals to a socket and fit a plug to your charging leads for convenience. Many modern chargers come with a charging tale for this purpose.

Some how it resets the fuel injection. I have 2 of these bikes. Most dependable motorcycle Iv ever owned.

I had an Aprilia SL750GT Shiver , 2 seconds after starting the Start button is reassigned as a Riding Mode select button. Neat, eh? But it will only work on a closed throttle, for Safety, so it can't change accidentally, which could be hair-raising going through torrential rain and it jumps into Sport mode!😂😂😂
