F80 Carbon Fiber Strut Brace Retrofit for F3x INSTALL DiY ! Transforming my Engine bay !

I finally committed to transform my engine bay with the M4 Carbon Fiber Strut Brace ! After weeks of research making sure that this project would be successful I decided to stop by a local Bmw part out garage and found almost all parts and hardware from a totaled M4 involved in a rear end collision.

Did your Eventuri bits yellow through heat cycling? Considering what they charge it's sad to see

My engine cover is yellow because I got it used from a friend that actually got a free replacement from Eventuri for the yellowing ! Unfortunately it is inevitable.

@@Sliderz_Official it's a lack of high temp inhibitors in their epoxy layup then. I skinned my intake/airbox and it's held up fine with a high temp epoxy. The only downside to ht epoxies is they naturally have a slight yellow hue to the resin, but only under LED lighting, side by side with other carbon pieces it's very hard to see. If you take that to a bodyshop and have them sand the majority of the epoxy back you might get lucky and restore it.

@@producerlawson Great Info! I reached out to a shop and they wanted to charge me almost as much as it would cost to buy a new one . If I find the right deal I would consider once it becomes a bother but for now I can live with it.

@@Sliderz_Official Damn that sucks, sanding ain't the most fun job haha and I guess a lot of bodyshops that haven't worked with carbon will be worried about sanding too far through. Maybe see if there's anyone reasonable who does carbon skinning near you, they'll be used to sanding the epoxy flat, it'll be a breeze for them.
