Good honest review here. I've owned a remapped 335xd for over a year now and considered putting a big intercooler on for a while. I decided on the CSF 8115b in this video and all I can say is I agree with this review. The car pulls harder and it appears to be more noticeable at higher rpm.

@@thibautd.8641 If you've got 6 or 7 hundred burning a hole in your pocket then go right ahead, if not then don't bother. The best value hp is through a remap.

Bonjour, ma 320D A Xdrive MSport a été modifié récemment, passage de la puissance de 184 cv et 380 Nm à 242 cv et 493 Nm de couple afin d'optimiser les performances du turbo , je viens de commander un wagner Intercooler compétition , je devrais récupérer couple et gain mais surtout fiabiliser le moteur avec plus d'air frais et de conserver son rendement , restera le passage au banc, actuellement j'ai l'impression d'avoir changé de voiture avec un couple présent à très bas régime sans rétrograder

640d is the same as 335d / 435d in f30 terms, N57 engine and ZF8HP70 auto, beware the HP70,, it has a 700nm limit and remaps well exceed this, and around 7grand to replace it.....the new g20 series are completely different and use the newer B series engines I believe............could do with more info on this torque limit as its stopping me having one

Awesome. Does the 5.5" IC push back the rad fan at all? My mechanic as saying it protrudes 1/2" beyond the radiator and doesn't fit my 435xi. Appreciate your advice.

We haven’t experienced that yet. It’s a very tight fit and does require trimming from memory - Check CSFs install advice.

Hi Guys - interesting video. I have a 535d (313PS) which will soon be coming out of warranty - so looking at an ECU remap. Could the CSF intercooler and re-map be applied to my 535d also (obviously a re-map could be applied - but wondering about the general layout and therefore fitting the CSF as well) ?? Many thanks

I don't think this has had a DPF delete. They need it gutting or bypassing to hit 380+ but will hit that on the standard cooler.

Should be running near 400 bhp and over 600 ftlbs with a uprated IC. I Wonder how these compare to a wagner IC? How much are they?

The gain is correct from the map. Winter tires make both pre and post reading lower than they should be but gains exactly what we expect. Usually we would except closer to 400 when the stock car makes 330 plus bhp. Not had any experience with Wagner . The CSF is £660 Inc vat.

On a dyno they can make a huge difference. A lot of energy is lost as the softer rubber compound flexes against the roller. One day I want to do an in-depth video explaining how dyno figures can be changed by conditions, so it would be fun to compare them back to back on the same car.

Yes we did, we always have a fan running when dyno’ing. Creates a wind speed of about 90mph and will bend a bonnet back on its hinges. Setup was exactly the same for before and after.
