Installing a aluminum Autotecknic strut bar/brace on my 2015 BMW 435i (F32). Also giving a first impressions on the strut bar to determine if it is really the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to improve handling on the BMW F3X.

Unfortunately, you never showed the right side of clearance of the ECU right underneath of it, which has much tighter space for 2018 340xdrive. Not to take chances to buy this

I’m sorry? You’re wondering if it’s clear that plastic piece that covers the DME on the B58?

@@ayyyman_ right, B58 2018 model has the ECU cover higher, don't know if the bar has enough clearance. Bought diving dynamic brand for 235

Bmw say strut tower bolts are one use only presumably they don't sit properly given the length?

So meaning you should never put them back on the car after removing? I didn’t know that. Seems a bit extreme no? Mine seem like they sit fine. Even after removing them again when installing my coilovers

@@ayyyman_ yep one use bolts. BMW use aluminium bolts which means the threads can be stripped easily, just be careful.

@@f32440i I broke my middle of the three bolts on my drivers side trying to install this. The top of the bolt sheared off and the threaded part I don’t think even moved.

That's a good question... I would say strut bar because they honestly look great in the engine bay. You can't really see a sway bar on a car (unless you get on the ground). In terms of performance, I don't think either will make a major enough difference unless you're tracking the car

I Just got a 2015 335xi, comming from a 2008 Acura TL Type S which has a strut bar from factory. The Acura handles waaaaay better. I was planning to sell it once I got a new car, but now I´m not sure about it, now every time I drive my BMW I wish it handled as good as my Acura
