We look at simple techniques in the f86 saber. on how we can overshoot enemies and get guns on them

*laughs in La-15* The rollrate on the La-15 is insane, I’ve been using it to surprise unsuspecting Sabres to get some good kills. Happy New Year, keep up the great work!

The first "rolling technique" you shows is indeed great to bleed speed and cause overshoot (while keeping the plane moving and rolling around throwing the enemy aim's off). But if you want to do defensive flying while being energy conservative, it sucks, and as such, the other technique (the one you think is "worse" according to you) is more powerful when energy retention is what you want. In reality, what you want isn't to use one or the other exclusively, but both depending the circonstances and situation. But since the F86 is overpowered by a lot of planes now, energy retention isn't always what you want, indeed, and taking advantage of it's roll rate is one of the only weapon you have left.

@@GreenFuryGaming he is too polite ... you "technique" is EASIER to do than flying by keyboard and its sucks at anything but forcing overshoots ... you cant STOP losing energy because you are always pulling ... meanwhile keyboard control is HARD to learn but allows pilot to do exactly the same thing as you do AND also use energy fighting and disengage maneuvers, you just have to learn to disconnect the movement you want from the view you are getting ... if you really want to use speed throttle and airbrake are there for you ...

Hey Green, since I use my camera so much, I have it bound to the right-click button instead of the C key. When I'm on the deck around 0.7 or 0.8 km in front of the enemy, and with more energy, I use the right click camera view to dodge their bullets. It's usually far from a hopeless situation because we're going low and fast, which favors my plane (usually in a P-51). But when I need to do extended defensive maneuvers, I use your technique. However, the two techniques do not actually have any difference in the performance of the plane: it is just easier to use yours for long maneuvers because you do not need to worry about keeping your hand on the C (or right click) key, so you can move your cursor and left hand much faster. And since your hands are more responsive, it feels like the plane is more responsive.

If u don't use C key to look around u will loose a lot of energy then if you used it....
@GreenFuryGaming6 жыл бұрын
for sure, it does, but for me, it gives me the chance to evade the guns so much easier. i came to this conclusion because the other way, gets me shot up lol. have u tried flicking the mouse back and flying?
@maxsuarezmuller71866 жыл бұрын
When looking around it is best to use the 'c' key, while defensive flying, the mouse flicking works really nice, Thanks greenfury!

Would you be willing to make a video of how to use the mouse flick? I have no idea how to do that, and I do the WASD method that you say is slightly inefficient.
@Kay_213_3 жыл бұрын
The reason I no longer flip my cursor back is because the plane is always going full pull towards the cursor, which limits what you can do It works but I’d rather have fine control
@R3tr0V3rt1g06 жыл бұрын
Rebound free look to space (rarely drop bombs) then you can keyboard fly your plane and have free look whenever you want without having to do keyboard gymnastics. In the middle of a fight, if you are fighting your view and your opponent you will be distracted and not focused on flying.

I didn't understand the first technique then I did something similar. I binded "Look behind" to X button and the mouse became joystick. When I try to apply what you do, all I have is an aircraft trying sharp turns with an extreme G.

I do the same thing when I have someone in my tail, sadly my friends prefer to just fly up and down in panic when they have someone behind them, I hope this video will convince them to leave that awful habit behind.

I didnt understand at all, what do you mean flick mouse back? Arent you holdong C key and using WASD to control the plane???
@jercki726 жыл бұрын
I use the C key a lot... especially when my enemy is faster and I am trying to equalize the speeds, at first I just use slight rolls to "lure them closer" xD. They will just overshoot naturally, or break off or whatever. I would only use what you described if I wanted to get on someone's tail and he was slower, but usually I don't need to do that

oooh interesting, I never tried that. I always used the c key to defensive fly looking behind me. Do you use that same technique in props also? The roll and move mouse to look behind?
@bruhhhhmoment48483 жыл бұрын
It worked amazing for me I tried it at a low altitude. I made the guy overshoot and crash
@perferre16 жыл бұрын
Green... Using the c technique is much better for maintaining speed. I use it when I have more then one attacker on my six... I find slight twitches and smart manuvers work best when 2-3 people are on you. In jets you don't want to waste speed. And the second technique is used in props allot more often or when it's just one enemy on you in jets. Because of the constant movement you lose much more speed. So I guess situationally you may want to loose more speed against some opponents. But remember the golden rule of jets is always to op for the higher energy option and just extend away if possible.
@perferre16 жыл бұрын
Also. I think everyone that has up to jets has figured out by now how to defensive fly with the mouse looking back... But still I wonder about those with the controller. I have a feeling that looking back with the control stick is the only way to defensive for them

I didnt understand the first "rolling technique. Plz help me. Look what I am doing and correct me plz. 1- I am holding C to look backwards. 2- I start rolling my jet pressing and holding A or D. 3- I am flickering my mouse or moving my mouse everywhere and the camera just moves around. The plane is still just going straight and rotating. Please Help! I noticed that when I look backwards I get no mouse pointer at all like your red circle thing. I am using Mouse Aim option
@jacobblair61815 жыл бұрын
I fly with my keyboard 90% of the time anyway and the only time i use the mouse is for more precise things like aiming, landing and so on and also i dont use c key to look around i use another button on my mouse that isnt bound to anything so i personaly dont find a problem the free look method i actually find it better rather than needing to put my mouse behind my plane and keep it there while fighting.. but thats just my opinion so by all means do whatever works for you XD

Hey there, im a PS4 player myself using a controller and keyboard, u can do this with the controller alone and its way easier then what you have to do. All i got to do is select the target and i can then lock my cursur on it with hitting one button on my controller, i got the roll and pitch controlls on my controller as well and start using that when my cursur is locked on the person behind me and just start rolling and dodging. Great video btw!

@@GreenFuryGaming that's actually a habit that most of us pick up in Arcade, before we come over to RB. In Arcade, with the more responsive rudder and better energy retention, randomly jinking is actually a pretty viable tactic. But a lot of people don't realize how much energy they're bleeding in RB.
