You've been a massive help with explaining the best approaches to the F90. I've had a couple (one stage 2) but have switched to an RS6 as I've recently become a dad and mum didn't like the smell from the missing cats! If I ever get another one I'd come straight to you for any mods, excellent videos!

@@velocitytuningltd if you do only secondary cats alone, or primary alone so long as you leave 2 out of 4 cats in place (including no opf) I hear there is no issue with smell and can still run stage 2 power without any issues.

You’re the man Tommy! I have loved your knowledge, demeanor and great attitude since seeing you on the other channel. Love the info and your monster M5’s! Loved your Sakhir Orange Metallic just as much! I had a 2015 Sakhir Orange Competition as well and loved it! Project Gamma intakes, charge coolers and coolant lines with a BM3 tune and full Army Trix exhaust. It was so much fun but became super problematic as time went on. Just let it to a couple months ago. Such a brutal fun car! What tune and easy mods would you recommend for a 2018 M550? That’s what I got to just have something for a smooth ride for myself and family for just a bit.

A very detailed video indeed. I've got a F06 M6 that I'm looking at getting tuned and it's nice to know comparison. Appreciate this is for a F90 but I suppose the logic is still the same except with lower BHP numbers of course.

Thanks for the information! Loved how you compared each tune. I have a 2015 f10 comp pkg. Been looking what to do and I think I finally know thanks to you. Gonna do the stage one dyno tune and keep it for a while. Once used to it. Up it to stage 2. But it is my daily so reliability is a must.

I have a opf delete and what I do if I got early mornings on cold start i apply little throttle in park and it basically acts like a cold start delete

I’m currently looking to buy a 2018 F90 with stage 2 tune. My only issue is reliability. Do you find the car to be reliable on a stage 2 tune? Other than the expansion tank problems you have any advice? Thanks!

Forgive me if I missed it in the video but what exactly is the exhaust set up here? You said it was a full exhaust system from a 2018 m5? Do you have that paired with catless downpipes? It sounds amazing. I would like to get my 2018 f90 m5 sounding like that

No not at all, I personally love it but there are fast f90 out there on stock gearbox sw

How come you're now using Cold Air Instakes over the Stock Airboxs? I recalled you suggesting not to change out the Airbox as they are more sufficient than CAI's.

Would you still get similar power numbers with the high-flow cats VS decat? That would be my preference but for my F10 instead. I can never find Dyno figures to help decide so interested to see what you've found when tuning.

Best way is to have a look underneath or pop the bonnet and on the heatshield above turbos the pressure sensors bolt on if no opf, no sensors

Depends if you like the box is slow a map will certainly help but stock is not a restriction. At this current time stage 1 is £750

Can you remove just the secondary cats without any tuning and run stock? Just want an increase in sound, don’t want to tune the car

There is no lambda monitoring secondaries so that would work

So stock engine is not an issue running at 4.9 sec 100-200kph, 2.4 sec 0-60 and 9.9 1/4 mile without upgraded rods/internals at all as long as it’s on an e30 fuel/map?

How is it possible? I sold my 570s for an M8. I heard a lot of bad things with these engines. I want to do catless downpipes with no tune and I am still worried about engine harm. I can’t imagine tuned on e30. Are people over exaggerating?

@@nicks1952 it’s possible to have it tuned on e30 but you need to use a tuner who limits torque properly. It’s not suppsed to be running over 730wtq at the most, if properly torque limited the car can make 750+whp with 730wtq on stock engine and everything holds fine.

my friend blew his 2021 motor stock my other friend got a 2018 160k plus miles tuned since 30k miles running strong soo its quite hit or miss i got a 2020 just did catless secondaries and thinking about doing it

the f90 s63 engines are pretty bulletproof if you are tedious and careful. just don’t dump insane amounts of boost on stock internals and just treat it like you would with any other high performance engine

The reason for sport cats so the car doesn’t stink , and also you’re not gaining any more power by going catless so why stink lol

good quality sport cats are around 1-2k. The cheaper ones will fail in 2/3 and even with the high quality ones they can fail after awhile.
