Today, the 28th of December, in Dunedin New Zealand, our family remembers the tragic events that happened many Saturdays ago in our home land of Samoa.
In memory of Black Saturday in Samoa, I wanted to sing one of my family's favourite Samoan hymns. Thank you to my Mum and brother for joining me in this, we hope you enjoy this rendition of "Fa'afetai i le Atua".

I really enjoyed listening to this. I am not samoan im full CookIand, I work at a carehome in nz as an activities assistant. I usually have one on ones with my residents. This song has hit home for one of my samoan patients. Not only her but staff were shocked that i actually learnt this song within 2 days and decided to sing with my resident before we prayed. Thank you so much, this was nice 🤗

I am from Papua New Guinea. This song was taught by Samoan Missionaries heliving and working in Papua when I was growng up in the '50s. I could remeber the chorous of the hymn. I would appreciate if someone furnish a copy and the lyrics of this hymn. T to me. Fafetai lava!
