To sum it up you get what pay for. RF is one the few companies that hasn't fell off and still make high quality amps as they did back in the 90s. Anyone over 35 know what I'm talking bout.

Been in this game a long time. I'm 60 years old.The truth you speak also applies to PRO audio. Crown is the only Pro amp to hold up to the heat of live music. I now have a JBL made by crown in my Toyota Highlander . Used it with SUNDOWN,DIGITAL DESIGNS and more. Now I have a modest system with two Solo Classic tens they are ten plus years old. Small sealed, And it is as clean and punchy as anything I have ever heard! I am no stranger to the old school type AB Rockford fosgates either. love it even at my age. (I'm a drummer and sound engineer and know what a kick drum should sound like).

That being said, I'm a complete novice at picking out audio components. I want something small to keep space, something like two 6.5s or two 8s. Agree to an extent. platter of variables that must be accounted for regarding this subject. Proper amplification cant perform at optimal efficiency if electrical foundation cant produce the raw supply of currents needed or faulty or a disregard to proper installation to cause harmful wear on said amplifier . Source signal being 2nd in the run- output can help compensate lighter electrical loads and give greater source level at lower volumes to keep head units running optimal efficiency, also the benefits from having top of the line sound staging capabilities to enhance your sound environment. 3rd is amplification to distribute the power to your passive equipment .4th are the Variables will play a part here , vehicle/enlcosure type , type of woofer/ type of external equipment included in the system overall. Cover those tracks amd theres really no bad place to start as long as those parameters are accounted for in the overall system . All in all to fully deliver a comprehensive proper helping hand in the audio community , This video should be 10 times the length of what has been produced .

i've heard this from some vets in the car audio forums. but I've heard electrical engineers and HIFI guys dispute it as well. alot of high priced amps are still using mid 90's technology and just add HHUUUGEEEEE mark ups. I don't doubt that an RF amp will be of better quality. but 230% of the quality? I'm dubious but interested. It's even arguable that quality has gone DOWN. I currently run taramps smart 3 admittedly for the price per watt. Honestly never had a problem with an agm. I like low lows (

What do you mean when you say fighting rise? Is it a spike in impedance that's giving you a problem or overall it's higher than normal? Normally rise is an efficiency increase (seen as a spike in impedance) and should play as loud but with less power needed to play as loud as areas outside of rise. Genuinely curious.
@famousdev97073 жыл бұрын
The box was an expieriment to see what would happen. I built it 4.6 cubes tuned at 30hz. I learned sa's do NOT like that. It's oversized to the point where heavy excursion creates overall high impedance all the way across its playable range. At 45v I only get about 500watts rms. And since the box is oversized for the subs there comes.a point where the efficiency benefit CANNOT make up for the lack of power handling. It would have sounded way better at 4 cubes tuned to 28 or some shit. Don't get me wrong. It's loud for sure. Video on my channel. But it's muddy and the lows could be way louder with more power. I have excursion to spare 21 hz and up but it does not seem to like me turning the gain. 50volts is a bit much for stock alts.
