DEI maybe for the unnamed chopper pilot. But ATC did everything right here. ATC told the chopper where the plane was (south of Woodrow bridge) and what it intended to do (land at runway 33). ATC asked the chopper twice if they made visual with it, they confirmed. Then the chopper requests “visual separation” which means the chopper is saying “it is my responsibility to avoid the plane.” Plus the chopper was 150 feet over altitude limits.

In 2009-2010 Obama increased the required flight hours for both comercial and military by a factor of 6. The FAA wasnt to happy about that because of such high standards. In 2019 Trump endorsed and promoted DEI in the FAA. This tragic plane crash has nothing to do with DEI whatsoever, if it did, we would have seen more than ONE accident since 2009. It does have everything to do with Trump, he gutted the FAA his first week in office.

DEI has been around since the early 80's. I remember as a kid the plants with good paying jobs having to hire a percentage of minorities. The supervisors complained, then, that the quality of workers was effected by the policies.
