Hello! My name is Rob, from Muncie Indiana. I see I'm not the only one that over builds projects. I've been a toolmaker die builder for 45 years, and i've seen my share poor planing and thats good enough workmanship. I'm sure your plane will be great!!! Thank you for tring to change the way the younger people see real skill, as a waste of time. They see starting at the bottom and working your way up is for others. They should make $35.00 an hour right away. THERE IS THE RIGHT WAY AND THE WRONG WAY TO DO THINGS, sounds like you know the differnce.

I fly RC, FPV, certified, and I LOVE to see the ultralight content. More air bike content is great with me. BTW, any chance of getting a Fusion 360 tutorial re. 3D printed spinners. particularly how to design them?? you talk about it a lot, and I'm using fusion, but it's just beyond my capabilities at the moment to design a spinner. particularly re. the blades.

I have been thing about a video on spinners with F360. I will make one in the next month or less. Rock ON!

@FPVREVIEWS dontcha wish someone would market a large scale RC Airbike or Legal Eagle?! ive got FPV caddx cams and now a Tally Ho head tracker(DJI V2) but cant find a decent RC ultralight kit besides the Savage Bobber....i want an RC Airbike ! Lol

@@MonstroLab ultralights are designed that way specifically mourned the part 103 FAA rules. I do design airframes specifically for FPV, with a much larger flight envelope and higher performance than a scale ultralight would have. my videos all have links in the description to my website where plans are available. check and see if it gets your interest. :)

@@FPVREVIEWS i see, also i guess it makes alot of sense to design FPV more toward more efficiency/performance V.S. 'scale' because with LOS piloting, you are always looking at the exterior of the aircraft....hey thanks for pioneering FPV & fixed wing for us Newbs, i see you been doing it a while! just subscribed

Do you know of any Ultra light plans that have a CAD file? It would be awesome to 3D print a scale model for reference. I can't wait for the day when you can reliably 3D print many of these parts.

I don't know of any that have the fuse designed in CAD. I have drawn my wings in Fusion 360, but not the stab or fuse.

I flew RC for a few years on the 80's built some bought some, then I bought a MX and jumped in and flew, 5.1 miles from the control tower at Dulles Airport 1990. If you can fly RC, you have what it takes to do 103. You are right to make it 103 legal, if it aint, then it aint 103, there is no such thing as a FAT ultralight, those are unregistered aircraft lacking an airworthiness certificate flown by persons with no license to do so. And, its UNDER 254 lbs not 254 lbs.
@Yogenh2 жыл бұрын
I would love to build one but the wife would really get upset with me so I guess that I will stick with RC.
