I have not tried Gyeon Mohs yet but I have used Gyeon Trim on the exterior plastic with great success. I used it on the black plastic on my 2005 Mini Cooper S and on my next door neighbors Chevy Avalanche. The plastic was so badly faded we were both surprised at the great results. I haven't had a bad experience with any of the Gyeon products that I tried. Great company!

This is the best coating on the market. I am authorized with Ceramic Pro and others. But seriously guys, this is hands down the best to apply, the slickness is off the charts compared to others, beading is crazy/ plus a has a maintenance booklet. Plus their marketing/branding is beyond cool.

Thanks brother! It all depends on what your after really. Slickness go with Mohs, Gloss go with Pure and first time users go with One. All these coatings could be done by first time users though they are so simple.

@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I do know in what direction I want to go, but that would really need a conversation over the phone with a few other questions about some of the other products I’ve purchased. Like, I understand that Gyeon one Evo basically has no slickness to it, but after doing a lot of research, if I understand it all correctly, using topper over the Gyeon one Evo, I can achieve that slickness that is desirable for me. If I’m mistaken, then I’ll have to rethink how to get the job done correctly on the first try.

I prepped and used Can Coat EVO one year ago on a two year old Honda. I have a G9 buffer with Griot’s Garage Boss Correcting Cream, is that enough to do to prep surface without damaging the clearcoat for applying Gyeon Mohs EVO? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with this helpful video.

If you’re planning on applying 2 coats, you might as well go with GYEON Syncro Evo. It’s a MOHS base coat topped with Skin Evo. It takes hydrophobic properties to another level.

It flashes so fast that I guess you can panel wipe, or tack cloth it, then put it on, and level it all in under 1 minute, helping to prevent contamination. Is there any other ceramic coatings that are outdoor friendly, so to speak?

Just ordered. Once you wipe off, is that side of the towel trash? Once you flip through the towel, you grab a new towel. Can they be washed and reused or are the wipe towels garbage? Thanks

You can wipe off a few panels per side of towel but yes after that they are pretty much garbage u less you want to use them as utility towels for garage chores etc.

Hey Mark thanks! I bought the power cord reel from Northern Tool during their Christmas sale. I think I paid around $60 each. It is 50ft and I love it. I actually have one on both sides of the car when polishing so I don’t have to pull a cord around the car.

If you want more gloss you want Gyeon Pure EVO. It is designed to increase gloss on dark colors. Not crazy slick but it really darkens the paint make it glossier. Skin typically just goes on Mohs.

Brian another YT channel I watch actually numbers his towels in the corner to keep up with what side he's used with a sharpie in the corners. Obviously they're thrown away at the end of a coating OR if thrown in a bucket with a microfiber wash they could be downgraded to engine cleaning duty only.

It’s a very enjoyable coating to apply. You can use it on wheels but Gyeon does not say if it’s good for trim or glass so I would probably steer clear or message Gyeon for a definitive answer.

The kit with the mohs and skin I was thinking of buying but don’t really know what the skin goes ? Also the Gyeon evo pure has a better darkening affect than the mohs but maybe the skin does to the darkening but I’m not sure about that

Skin is a top coat for Mohs. It basically protects The base layer of Mohs. Pure is meant for darkening and making paint look really glossy. Mohs is meant to make the paint crazy slick to try and keep gunk off of the paint. Hope this helps

It can be applied outside just not direct sunlight. You probably could if you stretch it but you would be better off with a 50ML to be safe.

Gyeon recommends a thick layer but a 50ML could do a single layer on an explorer and a car no problem not sure if it could do an explorer and a truck.

Thanks! I haven’t used Brian’s new products do I can’t compare that. I really enjoy Mohs as I have applied it a few times now. Yes you can use different detailers they just need to have SIO2 in them. I usually use a new side every panel. I really do believe it will go 3 years and beyond if maintained.

@FABAutomotiveDetailing in Gyeon instructions, they say 1 hour. For example, in the directions labeled paint coatings manual, it shows apply Q2m Cure or Q2m Ceramic Detailer 1h after coating application. In notes for One and Pure, it also shows that you can coat with Can Coat Evo 1h after application as well. The only thing shown about 12h is don't use the vehicle for 12h after coating.

@@mikezupancic2182 That is true but the longer you can let it cure before topping it with Cure or Ceramic Detailer the better. The reason it says 1 hour for another coat or to use CanCoat is because after that hour is up another coat won’t bond to the first coat. I hope that make sense.

@FABAutomotiveDetailing makes sense, though Gyeon doesn't make sense sometimes. They tell you to apply in your preferred method then tell you to put a thick heavy coat on. But they give you 30ml.

Yes. One layer is put to 3 years and 2 layers is up to 4 years. That was one of the main reasons for revamping this coating was to make it a 1 layer product unlike the first version.

@@dejanscepanovic2304 Mohs is meant for slickness. It has a darkening affect but doesn’t add a ton of gloss. Pure and One will give you great gloss. I have not tried either personally but know people who have tried them and said they are awesome

ive used this many times on many cars. i let it sit for exactly 1 minute then level. its so great. but i kind of like Pure Evo better. its wayyyyyy glossier! than Mohs imo

Yes Pure was designed to be glossy. Mohs was designed to be slick. I put Pure on my motorcycle. Thanks for watching

Not quite as forgiving in the wipe down for me . This needs to be wiped as soon as the panel os coated ! Fantastic results though .

The problem is that it sweats way too fast, you have to break up a hood in like 5-6 parts! I hate that !

Mohs is meant for paint. I believe the only coating Gyeon has for all those is Can Coat EVO

From my experience from gyeon mohs evo it REQUIRES 2 layers to actually last . 1 layer is useless & only lasted 9 months on my daily
