I’ve been using Wet Coat as a drying aid and gloss enhancer with my washes. It gets great results and is amazingly easy to apply; the only work it adds is walking around the wet car after washing to spray a few spritzes per panel, and then you dry the car same as normal. For me, this replaced Bead Maker because the results are similar but it’s much less work and time to use.

Correct. We don’t use Bead Maker for its durability (it only lasts 2-4 weeks). We use it as a topper or drying aid to boost gloss and slickness.

I have never tried Gyeon products. But, after this presentation, I will now invest in the entire line of products. You are definitely right, the packaging and presentation is eye catching. I used a Swedish brand, Car Care Products (CCP). And their coating "Sator". Up to 18 months protection. You have probably not heard of it. I found it easy to install. Wetlook. Excellent hydrophobics. I Will maintain the paint with ph-neutral soap and CCC Hydrosilex. A ceramic sealant.

You can't compare an entry level consumer grade coating like the AvalonKing with prosumer grade high end coatings like CarPro or Gyeon in my opinion. If you're looking for a beginner coating, 2+ years of protection, and that is the easiest coating to apply, then AvalonKing Armor Shield IX is the one for you. If you already have experience with ceramic coatings, and just want the best possible consumer grade version, go for the CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 or one of the new Gyeon EVO coatings, those are top grade. You can't have it all in one single product hehe. The glossiest is probably the Gyeon Wax. It has some crazy water beading if you like that. But it's the longest to apply. You can see it in my demo here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moDZXp5sq7eNbsU WetCoat has decent gloss, excellent hydrophobics, and is the quickest to apply (it's spray on, rinse off). Cure is my least favourite of the three. Average gloss, average hydrophobics, can sometimes be streaky. Many people dilute it a bit. You have to pick what's best for your needs.

Pan, I just applied Pure last night. Loved the application. Typically, for light dust and minor dirt days I have been using SiO2 waterless washes like Adams or more recently CarPro. Is that acceptable to use for maintenance "recharge" for the ceramic and hydrophobic properties? For dirtier days, I also have been using Chemical Guys Hydro Slick SiO2 soap in my cannon and bucket. Is that acceptable to use for the same reasons? Thanks in advance!

Pure is such a good quality coating, I would avoid using "cheaper" products like the CG Hydro Slick stuff. For maintenance, if you want an SiO2 infused shampoo, use Gyeon Bathe+. Or, like I prefer, use a pure shampoo like CarPro Reset or the regular Gyeon Bathe, and then apply a spray topper at the end of the wash, as a drying aid (Gyeon Ceramic Detailer, CarPro Elixir, etc). Once every two or three months, apply a heavier duty topper like Gyeon WetCoat or CarPro Hydro2 Lite (those are spray on, rinse off formulas), or your choice of silica spray sealant. Never introduced swirls or scratches in my experience on my current C8 (which has Ceramic Pro). I use CARPRO ECH2O files files diluted 10:1 I will incorporate WetCoat or Hydro if that makes sense every couple of months as well. Thx again

To my knowledge these are paint coatings. But CanCoat can be applied on plastics and glass too.

@@PanTheOrganizer thanks Pan . Only minus I found with this products ,you only can apply on the paint . I like Armor Shield, it’s very good product. And you can protect all car just with one bottle. I think that’s is big advantage in this game

Hi Pan, hope you're doing great. Have a question. I recently pulled the trigger and finally applied Gyeon Q2 Can Coat. Have to say there's nothing but positive things to say about the product. Now, I know Gyeon Cure is a silica based sealant to maintain Gyeon coatings and people recommending to pair with any Gyeon coatings. But the new Gyeon Ceramic Detailer is also labeled as such. I'm getting conflicting information regarding which one should I use. Thanks

Cure is like CarPro Reload. A higher concentration of SiO2 compared to Ceramic Detailer. You wouldn’t apply Cure as often (once every two three months). For regular washes, you can use the Ceramic Detailer as a drying aid/quick detailer. That’s meant for more frequent use.
