i've been toying with a similar idea. I wanted to extend them down closer to the rock sliders on mine, but overall, pretty damn slick.

Great video some more ideas for my side by side. I didn't know that about annealing the alum pipe to bend it
@FabbinAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Wow, your really watchin my channel, thanks man! Yes, there are other aluminum alloys that will bend fine, but 6061 is not one of them, but if you need to bend it, this trick works great! Thanks for watching, and commenting, please share my videos!

I use flares extended with rubber mat, that way if scraping a tree offroad nothing breaks

That would probably work great, i like to build stuff, and ive rubbed these on trees already with no problems.

@williamfeather39153 жыл бұрын
Heck ya I plan on buying a set myself
@FabbinAdventures3 жыл бұрын
They most likely wouldnt be cheap, i gotta do every thing manual. But if i made a bunch at one time, i might get a bit of a production line going and make them a bit faster and cheaper!
@zurimaxwell88544 жыл бұрын
You should make similar products to sell, I'd buy it!
@FabbinAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, ive had a few people tell me that, but they would end up being to expensive by the time i was done building them. I may try it some day. Thanks for watching

What offset rims did you use to get the extra width

Man i cant really remember the offset, they are procomp 15x10, im guessing that they are 2.5" offset. Thanks for your comment!

Fenders looks the part.Good job! Any plans to fab and sell? I need to build fenders asap and can't find anything in plastic that I like so I think I have to make them myself. /Mikael, Stockholm, Sweden.
@FabbinAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, i think they look great, and they are solid and work awesome. I think it would take too long to make them with my equipment, id have to charge too much. Tbey would be hard for me to mass produce and have them fit every sammy out there. Thanks for watching!
@mikaelkenson99014 жыл бұрын
@@FabbinAdventures Thanks for the reply. I understand and agree. To have a production that make you some money and a price that the customer "can handle" is the difficult trick. Why don't we all have CNC pipe benders and water jet cutter in our garages?? ;) :D Have a nice day!

for sale if so how much

They would be too costly with my current equipment to reproduce. I am though tooling up the shop to make projects like these easier, faster and repeatable. Maybe some time in the future they will be available for sale. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Your way takes way to long , oxy/acetylene, is way faster and you dont need to let cool Use a sooty flame and cover then heat to remove soot , and put in the bender
@FabbinAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Well yeah, but not everybody has oxy/ act, ive been fabricating for alot of years now and only had the need for one a few times. Thanks for watching.
@westernwanderer83972 жыл бұрын
I'm not that confident in my welding skills. You should sell sets. Just leave the inner wheel well panel intact and the buyer can trim to fit.
@FabbinAdventures2 жыл бұрын
I sell the mount, but am not going to weld any bodies steering components, way, WAY too much liability. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@westernwanderer83972 жыл бұрын
@@FabbinAdventures You sell the fender flares? Are they just one size or do you offer different sizes?
@FabbinAdventures2 жыл бұрын
No sorry, i thought you were talking about the power steering mounts. I have had a ton of people ask me to make these fender flares available to buy. If i had the equipment to make them faster and more repeatable i would, unfortunately the time it takes to make a set would make them too costly to sell.
@westernwanderer83972 жыл бұрын
@@FabbinAdventures No problem. I guess the 4X4 community really love them, especially us guys who don't have the equipment and/or skills to make them ourselves.
