One other reason new players choose fab, perhaps the most important reason..... when you leave haven, the statue auto selects fab first; so new players that don't realize they can change their location just go to fab by defualt

Resources that Fab has that you overlooked; Necro notes, heavy armor training/craftomg (TK armor), necro POI's, shit tons of chests, Gabore node, and also the Tribe Rats/purified water POI's... also the ritual circle dude near Mino as well. It's a pretty well-stocked area... also has a very high rare-gem-from-mining rate imo.

Another reason is when you go to enter the nave fab is the default first choice. I’ve accidentally spawned there multiple times due to not changing the starting city location.

This is the main reason my friend started on fab on his like 5th char because he didn't realize you can choose the town

Also because its the default choice, most players put their items they want to take with them first and then you cant switch locations after that. The arrows get greyed out,. Maybe this has been changed though its been a while.

As a prospective armorsmith, Fab was chosen for its resources nearby. Tamed nearby animal spawns: horse, wolf & bear and sold them to pay for skill books, materials and weapons found on the Fab auction house. A year after beta, I achieved my goal of maxing out every armor type then available, all solo, including the draco armatus set. I was very disappointed to learn my armorsmith character didn't have enough skill points to both armor smith and create higher quality metals.

Fab is just at the center of the major activity on the map. It's the central economic hub, it's close to a bunch of dungeons, and it has several bandit camps and horse spawn all very close. Yes, constant ganking all around, but it's just got more going for it than anywhere else.

1. It's the Streamer hotspot (Malitia fights & Sewer content) 2. No other town has a consistent flow of duelers like Fab 3. Its haven's twin 4. Snowball effect. Because there are always people, even more people will come. More potential RP as well.

There is almost always a naked Thursar to duel with if you want to train as well.

Maybe its due to the mass amount of gold sellers in Fab. Currently they list Fabernum 148000g that is for sale. I don't know maybe its because its a copy or haven or its the easy access to gold and items players can't get in haven.

Fabernum is the most popular starting town, cause it's the default, and the UI is annoying. Pretty sure that's 99% of the reason lol.
