A few years ago there was a great Agency that assist the Homeless Community. the people that worked there was kind and efficient with the sources that they had. They kept our family updated with my sister health. Mental illness is Real and hard to treat. especially when you’re mental and don’t have family that understand.
@regand7830 Жыл бұрын
And that is why, most mentally ill, need to be institutionalized. Of course they can and should be humane places. But that's the ONLY way professionals can monitor and make sure there IS care. People have to be FORCED into it. Now with clinical diagnosis available, and factors like being gay, or having hormonal imbalances can't be used as a means of involuntarily putting someone in a mental hospital for permanent care, there is no reason to not have them at all. Clearly people with the most clinical issues, and addictions can't and won't fend for themselves in the safest way possible. I don't see how their advocates can argue that living in filth, hungry and sick with other infections and at risk of threat of violence, is better than a safe, clean hospital specific to their needs. This is the cost of their "personal freedoms" and clearly NOT worth the price. They'll be where their family can visit, and bring gifts and other support. If someone reaches a level of competence, then perhaps they can earn their keep with what skills they have. And each and EVERY state these people are from, should be shamed into doing the same. It's unfair and unsustainable that CA bears the burden of the entire country's and world's dysfunctional populations.

If the police would just do their jobs, this would not happen. Stop taking so much pity on the homeless that we don't make them make some sort of effort. For example, if it is illegal to set up camp, the police should patrol every single night until the homeless give up that routine and therefore make more of an effort to use social services. As long as the homeless are enabled and never held accountable, they'll take advantage. We're not doing anyone any favors by letting them sleep anywhere. There are plenty of shelters that would let people sleep inside. Finally, why not give homeless people jobs... which entail cleaning up homeless encampments? Irony.
