What may be more shocking to you in the future is high rises in that area and along the Malibu coastline.

That heavy equipment operator works well and fast. It takes many years experience to do the job well. I'm from the Bureau of Equipment , Philippines. I'm pleased to see the work.

Utility's first working order

A clear advertisement for the use of UTLITIES CORRIDORS. Instead of burying utility services underneath road lanes, the best plan is to have utility corridors along the margins of roads. The grassy areas between sidewalks and houses. That way - when something like this happens, or when basic service is required, it isn't necessary to jackhammer the road. Simply dig through the grass. Many jurisdictions do have utilities corridors, but their use requires a bit of forethought. Road allowances need to be wider so as to accomodate the corridors. Make road allowances too narrow, as in the case shown in this video, and there is nowhere else to put things like gas lines except underneath the road. Bring on the jackhammers and shut down lanes whenever a problem arises. Costs a bit more up front but over the years it is the cheaper method of providing utilities.

So Many have no clue how we pipe gas to our homes. Big pipeline goes to little ones unless the whole area is closed. You can't just shut it all off, You have to hit the valves in the street where the big pipe is. Some just can't read it's sad...

So by removing all gas lines from a fire-prone area are they basically admitting that the network of gas lines contributed to the intensity of the fires? Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

The abandonment process is a vital safety measure following the destruction caused by the fires, ensuring that all traces of natural gas are removed from service to prevent future hazards.

NO MORE BUILDING WITH WOOD
@David_B_Dornburg4 сағат бұрын
Rebuilding with wood is fine if done right. There's are several homes that survived because they planned out beforehand how to properly maintain their property and fireproof the buildings to avoid making it easy for a fire to take hold. There are several Yt videos around that demonstrate processes on how to do that.
