FABLED SUPPORT INCOMING! WHAT DO THEY NEED? Yu-Gi-Oh!

Fabled players have for years wanted a really good fabled boss. The deck was forced to synchro climb into star dust boss monsters or now to merely supply the bodies for fiendsmith. It would be nice with a boss fabled that can stand side by side with the fiendsmith boss monster and have good synergy with it.

What fabled need: - a lv4 tuner with a good effect on summon to facilitate extra deck plays - a lv6 extender so they can easily make lv7,8,9 and 10 synchro plays - a synchro that can quick effect discard a card to get rid of your opponent's cards - a counter trap that negate monster effects while you control a fabled synchro monster and then make you discard 1 card. Maybe can banish itself to destroy a card on field so that you can trigger leviathan - a continous spell that protect your fabled synchro, recycle your cards and once per turn discard a fabled to revive a fabled from the GY

They need to "Dark World" treatment of S/T support, same with Ally of Justice if it gets support this upcoming set. They have the main deck monsters mostly but lack S/T and a dedicated ED beatstick / endboars monster to have on field.

What I believe Fabled should get is - A Continuous Spell that recycles Fabled cards for a grind game - A Synchro Monster that discards a card on quick effect - A good Normal Summon - A Counter Trap

Something importat to note about the Fabled is that all of theor on discard effect are mandatory. This usually doesn't matter that much since the pnly HOPT on discard is Marcosia, but with Cait Sith it means that, if you hit with something like a random Danger discard, you will need to pop one of your own cards going first. Anyway, my wishlist is a good Synchro, especially a good Synchro 8 because I miss Chaos Ruler, an on archetype Desitny Draw and a Fabled that on discard get you another Fabled from GY back to hand to keep looping Grimro

This one is a fun one because there is an easy set of support ideas for this beyond "Give them a better boss" (though giving them a better payoff monster than Leviathan would be incredible). Give them a Quick-Play Spell that can be activated from the hand during your opponent's turn while you control a Fabled Synchro Monster, discarding any number of Fabled cards as cost in order to get a variety of effects such as buffing a Fabled, negating a card your opponent controls and reanimating a Fabled. They're all neat effects, but the most interesting application here would be for Unicore Control; being able to change the number of cards in your hand with flexible timing is extremely potent with Unicore as Runick Decks have shown. But Unicore Control as a Deck outside of Runick is very outdated and can have more tools given to it to promote Spell Speed 2 hand manipulation to truly make it into a very powerful Deck. The fact that Unicore can even stop cards that can't normally be interacted with has a lot of potential for developing it around. I'd love to see more of an emphasis on Unicore Control because that'd feel like something unique to Fabled

I know its kind of troll but Fabled with melffy was so fun when I tried it in Master Duel mostly because the melffy engine is good at manipulating your hand bc they bounce themselves back and pinny can summon any synchro using any melffys in hand so with Unicore on field you almost always can guarantee you'll have a way to have the same number of cards as your opponent in hand on res. The beast half of the archetype is lowkey I hope they give them more they already have so much going for them with the light fiend half.

Fabled have the potential to be actually broken

You forgot the Synchro lvl 6 Fabled Andwraith. What’s good about him is that both effects are once per turn and first is triggered upon special summon NOT synchro. While second effect is once per turn while it is on the field. Moreover , if your opponent has no cards in hand they don’t even get to chose to discard one to prevent you drawing 2 and discarding 1. Furthermore, given that Fiendsmith’s Lacrimosa can help summon Fabled Andwraith upon summon thus triggering the effect and also then having 2 lv 6 in the field. They work well together. As you said , fabled have the potential especially with Fiendsmith’s to be a fun and good deck. I hope a new fabled Boss monster can give the fiendsmith one a run for its money.

Fabled needs an extra deck overhaul good lord and a couple of good main deck monsters With solid spells to help the deck out. I’m sure they’ll only make it good enough so that fiendsmith will most likely be used in it as it’s main engine to get going but I’m curious to see what they’ll add

For me, what I'm hoping for with the new support 1) a good end board boss. Hopefully something that has interaction, and recovery and/or protection 2) Better revival especially for the higher level fableds. I wish Treason was a continuous tbh. 3) maybe a non-tuner level 4 that can SS itself from GY by discarding a Fabled card, similar to Kushano. 4) an extra deck monster that can benefit off Andwraith stealing a monster since more often than not, you are more likely to steal a tuner 5) More removal. So it's not just Treason and Catsith That, or let's support the fableds that don't discard, but sends...since that's half the archetype

They need a proper boss monster, main deck is mostly fine as it is. You can easily turbo through the deck with the right build. Maybe some refursion for the grind game. The extra deck is where they lack the most.

They have a preety good monster lineup maybe one more be nice but they need new synchros that is the end goal after doing all fabled stuff cause the only threat is unicorn thats it

I have a fabled deck and what I hope we see with the new supper is: - A new and great Fabled boss synchro monster lvl 10. - A really good Fabled link monster rank 2/3 or synchro that is level 8. - a new fabled fiend main deck monster that has a neat GY quick effect as well. - a continues fabled spell card: perhaps an effect that for each discard there is counter added which does certain effect given the amount of discard counters. - a Fabled trap that can both be activated from hand or GY if you control a fabled monster or have one in hand. - or why not a fabled hand trap monster?

Print 4 new monsters, 3 main deck, 1 synchro: give all the new main deck monsters a quick effect to discard themselves and monsters from hand to synchro a Fiend with individual discard triggers, then a new Synchro with an on-summon add/special you can chain block with the monsters you discarded

they need a card similar to fabled raven but modern. something as simple like discard a fabled card; add/special a fabled from deck this deck heavily benefits from discard costs with an actual good effect after it to get ash blossomed. fabled raven discarding to increase its level, isn't gonna be enough :/

They need a dedicated starter that gets them recursion. If you get them that they can pop off. Another Field Spell or continious would help aswell and a card you can play to make your opponent make you discard. The other thing is they need tuners that allow them to not be treated as a tuner. The graveyard is brcoming relevant for them so they need more cards that trigger in graveyard. Likely they get a link or synchro that shits out advanatge but they absolutely cannot make these generic because too many other decks would run them

Is Fabled Andwraith relevant at all? Felt it was pretty Useful in the Archetype with its card advantage/hand manipulation while summoning a discarded monster all on top of being used to Synchro Climb Turn 1 and then Special Summoned from the GY with Fabled Treason during the opponent's turn to trigger its effects again. Idk maybe I'm just yapping XD

You are right. And with fiendsmith Lacrimosa you can special summon Andwraith to get the effect of his and then use them for xyz or to further fusion or synchro with the beast fableds. People often seem to forget its effect is upon special summon and that can be abused. Also if your opponent has no cards in hand you get the draw effect automatically. It’s a good card. I still have fabled get a fabled boss monster that is as good as the fiendsmith Desirae and has good synergy.

Fun fact the fabled unicore is the only card in the game that can negate spell speed 4 (including cards such as super poly) and can be technically counted as spell speed 5

why did you talk about leviathan when Andwraith exists? Leviathan is easily the least relevant fabled synchro in the deck (besides lore) while Andwraith is one of the better ones easily better than most of the fabled synchro's.

Guess he forgot about it. Personally I think wraith kinda sucks, I never got the draw effect off once. Really nice that my opponent lost a card, but if you need the draw effect to resolve to continue your plays you're better off just making ragin.

@@RawrItsJuulthe benefit of Andwraith is that its effect is once per turn on Special summon not synchro. This cards like fiendsmith lacromosa can help you do it very often. Moreover , if opponent has zero cards the effect is mandatory and you get to draw 2 and discard 1. And lastly the effect to special summon a card your opponent send to GY once per turn works on hand trap monsters also. It’s a better card than it first seems. But yes, fabled really need more and even better boss monsters. right now fabled don’t really have a good true boss monster of their own.

@@windmirror7083 a level 9 fabled synchro would indeed work well. I hope whatever cards we get it’s at least one really good boss monster so that fableds have a end board to build towards. Fableds have real potential as many of the cards are not once per turn effects and they have a great searcher for both monsters and spells/traps. A couple of well designed cards and bosses and fableds really could shine and become a rogue deck. To me it’s basically acoustic making it more fun to play.
