Wild Camping Ethos 🏔️ Camp above the highest fell wall, well away from towns, villages and lake shores. 🗑️Leave no litter - this includes not burying any litter and removing other people's if you find it. ❌ Don't light any fires, even if there is evidence that fires might have been lit. ⏳Stay for only one night. 🏕️ Keep groups very small - only one or two tents. 👀 Camp as unobtrusively as possible with inconspicuous tents which blend in. 🌿 Leave the campsite as you would want to find it. 🎒Carry out everything you carried in. 👝Carry out tampons and sanitary towels. Burying them doesn't work as animals dig them up again. 🌾Choose a dry pitch rather than digging drainage ditches around a tent or moving boulders. 🕳️ Perform toilet duties at least 30 metres from water and bury the results with a trowel. 🐑 At all times, help protect the environment and respect other visitors and communities. ✌🏼Wherever you pitch, please remember that the landowners or their representatives have the legal right to order you to break camp and move on. I'm a bit cautious of putting exact locations in the title unless it's super well known or obvious, due to the amount of trashing of the hotspots that has been going on through the summer or over abundant of wild campers in one particular area. Trying to find my way with what would be best.

Hi there, just came across your video my mistake while looking for stuff on tour de Mount Blanc lol but glad I did as another wild camper and hiker also have a springer companion Pepper, look forward to watching some more of your videos when I'm back, hope your partner has a great time on K2, note iv just changed over to a sleeping quilt which is awesome but seem even better for spaniels who all unaware of personal space and end up under the quilt to lol

Just wonderful, really enjoyed watching this one again..👍🏻 I’m also in the Lakes right now (2nd day/night of 3) and watched this from my tent up on a fell. I prefer to tuck myself away out of sight behind rocks too, although your tent still stands out quite a lot being White.😄 All my tents are either green or brown, so almost invisible in the natural landscape.

Oh very cool. That's fun that you watched from your tent haha. Yes, I know lol. The green was out of stock when I bought it, otherwise I would gone with that. It was more to not be lording over the other wild camper haha. There was no else in the valley and I follow the set up late, leave early principal 😊 Enjoy your trip!

I do still tend to set up late in the evening though.. And thanks - still not sure where tonight’s location will be yet, it’s a nightmare driving on these little narrow roads here. My sat-nav said 1hr 25mins just to drive 34 miles,😳 so now rethinking my plans…

Nice wild camp, thank you. It's a thumbs-up and a sub from me. Re Cam's interest in sheep. Have had working Springers most of my life and they are always firmly taught, from a very early age, not to take any interest at all in any farm animals. A sharp tug on the leash and a firm "No" is all it takes, for them to get the idea. Repeat until they stop showing interest. 😀

He is extremely high drive and unfortunately I didn't socialise him enough with other animals at that formative time - circumstances but I wish I could go back! He has great recall but I wouldn't risk him off the lead around livestock.

Writing from the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Odd as it may sound, I actually enjoy the typical brief camp-setup sequences. ..and because it sounds odd, I got to wondering why. I think one of the reasons is that, in a world were nothing can ever be easy, and even trivial tasks often turn into major hassles, there's a certain pleasure in seeing a job like that done smoothly and with relative ease. (..not to suggest that the secret magic of editing doesn't mightily assist on that front!) Another reason is that viewing the whole setup process creates an anticipation, a tension resolved by the coziness in the tent that soon follows the completion. Anyway; yet another exquisitely beautiful video here on Fables and Fells - thank you!

Just a quick word to say " watched a few already as promised " , so glad to have came across your channel Chloe . Such a soothing voice that compliments the music just perfectly 😊 i actually just turned my TV off for the first time in months ( i did say i was a nighthawk of late 😅 ) which is very unusual for me because I'm normally sitting watching crappie films ( not actually watching, just background noise ) recovering from a fairly recent operation to remove a cancerous kidney which came as a bit of a shock so I'm not as active outdoors as i was previously hence sitting at night watching KZbin channels that are relaxing yet stimulating my brain . Best camping companion in the world, a Springer.. i got a Nemo Tensor XL mat so i mine can get on the bottom under my quilt.

That's a good idea regarding XL size! I got both my thermarests long before I got my dog. To be fair, he can fit on the rectangular one with me but in summer when I don't need to take so much kit, it's nice to give him a separate one so I get a better night's sleep 😅

So cool babe. Nice to know both yourself, your partner are and at what you want at the same time.. so many don't. Brilliant production, Post, Everything.. Sound, Drone, 4K, (I hate LR Best KZbin and ONLY KZbin I searched for tonight)... Last bit sort've killed me That Glacier... We got this here in UK as well .. its how you approach it... Its all about having someone to share it with sweetie. Ben's gone. very sad. But He wouldnt want that. Glad to see Faithful AND Partner still there... ( I still wouldn't have camped at Hardknott Pass. Scary).. To me. Love your vids. Amateur photoguy but thinking bout vid. ( Professional mechanic and idiot sometimes).... Anyway just you know I turned some Etta James and Hard house Lisa Pin up etc to look for a REAL Calming vid.. Nice One.... and remember Old Faithful... Nte Well done.. Appreciated...
