"You'll end up sellin all you toys that you like cause your wife is pregnant & she needs a car that will fit kids... But, wouldn't change any of it. I'd sell it all again." That right there is a big reason why we love watching your channel Paul & Co. You are real & look at life with a great dads heart. Well done!

What Paul said was from the heart of a loving father and I like the way he teaches his kids, he lets them do the work and he gives advice when needed. Now they are like him, problem solvers! I'm glad you commented on this topic because I totally agree with everything you said.

7400 maybe 7580, depending on who's sitting in it! Just remember, it's always easier selling your toys than the wife & cheaper too. After all, isn't she someone fun to play with, the injuries might be less & there's going to be operator costs no matter what. Just don't leave her outside in the rain or she might get a little rusty on you. Michelle, you're a prize & Paul couldn't do better.

Merry Christmas Fab Rats!

My favorite part about this channel is that you actually film the work, and discuss details and plans. A lot of other fabrication/automotive channels that I watch skip over the dirty details which is where I actually learn useful things.

I think you're going to need some gussets on the winch frame to resist the moment created by the distance between the winch drum and the points where the frame welds to the bumper otherwise the frame is going to be bent under a heavy load.

My kids are now Paul's age. My children have children. Now my grandchildren are starting to have children of their own. As a father of daughters and granddaughters I can't remember the last time I had folding money in my wallet. Its been worth it though. Money isn't an end; it is a tool. On your rear winch. Looks great but unless you add some bracing, it will just bend backwards the first time you pull with it. The winch is high enough that it will create leverage against your welds. The wilds will hold, but the entire bracket will bend over. It's looking good though!

I'm a month behind on watching this, but I would say 8617 lbs which is the year and date of my birthday in January! It's cool to seeing you guys, custom building things for friends, family, and The off-road community, but it's AWESOME to see you guys help pull people out when they're in dire need. Both My brother and I pull people out of the Mohave desert with our personal Rigs all the time. Great channel keep it up boys

Just a question, will that bracket you welded together support the winch when it's under pulling power? It seems like you would need some bracing coming off of it to support the stress it's going to endure.

I was going to comment the same thing. The winch will have a ton of leverage at the top of the bracket and rip that support clean off. On the back side of the bracket above the winch he could weld supports that would run back almost parallel to the boom to something solid.

I 100% agreed, was gonna make the same comment until I kept watching and he said he'll be bracing the top of it. It'll be interesting to see what the bracing really looks like.

I'd make an 'A' frame off of the bumper near the D rings that can swing down in case you really need the boom to go down a little lower and I would put that winch in between the frame rails just behind that back bumper.... Cause it's not like its a little too busy back there already.😅😂
