During one trip with the USAF, we dropped in on a fighter base. We had to relocate the C-141A cargo plane weighing about 200,000 pounds. The biggest tug they had was a warehouse tug. 225 CI torqueflight tranny and dual wheels. We didn’t go very fast, but it got the job done.

First old tug got to play with was in Anchorage AK. The Kenworth dealer used it to push pull dead trucks in and out of shop. It had cab but no heat

I used to work at Freightliner Truck Manufacturing Plant in Cleveland, NC. We had several tugs that we used to pull trucks (in various stages of build) around. We were able to get them to spin donuts but mainly on the plant floor.

Love love love those Willys wagons. We had a 59 in 1968, loved when dad took us on the beach in it. In 1993 a high school friend put the bofy on a custom frame and stuffed a 351 5 speed manual from a 79 Bronco. Bronco interior and drive train. He called it his Big Wheel.

Travis AFB had big tug's that ran 12valve and 727 . They broke them repeatedly by rolling backward and hitting drive to pop wheelies. I did three before their CO came to the shop to ask why it kept happening. Turns out it was this one guy. CO made him buy the case he broke and it never happened again. Thanks guys, it's always fun here !

When I was in the Air Force I drove a tug like that. It was used to pull maintenance stands and fire bottles around the flight line. It had a dodge slant six in it and would pop a wheelie when taking off. Now they have cut off jeeps which were nice when it rained. Have fun with it because it will be handier than you think.

We had a couple on a plant I worked on for a few years. They were 300 inline 6 Ford engines and C6 trans. The trans were locked to low and second. Probably geared at 5 something. They had cabs until my buddy Andy put one of them in reverse floored it and threw it straight into first, when it wheelied he and the guy with him wound up looking at sky. Good thing it had a full cab.
