@@sewsarahstyleI’m just wondering when you made your Thea trousers did you have a problem with getting the waistband to fit. Also are the Freya trousers a slightly narrow leg than the Derwent. Many thanks Angela

Hi, from what I remember, the Thea’s are wider leg than the Derwents although I actually narrowed both a bit (I think!!!). Useless memory sorry 🤦‍♀️. I also didn’t have too much trouble with the waistband from what I remember, but Cara did manage to put hers on upside down so could that be an issue? Good luck!! ❤

I need to get on a train and visit Barry’s camo selection! I had a good laugh watching this… “that’ll make a cool blouse” then flashes meter after meter after meter of chiffon in front of our eyes 🤪 That’s gonna be some fabric hungry blouse 🤣🤣 I was toying with the idea of making smart chinos with welt pockets but I’m loving the idea of wide leg trousers with welt pockets… I really can’t stay focused on my plans 😵‍💫 Love love love your crepe fabric, definitely ted baker-esque Happy haul sewoff 🥰

I love the amount of fabric you have access too! Omg . So envious. I have nothing like that near me. It's a half hour car trip to the closest fabric store and anything else needs to be bought online. 😂 yes the fabric markets are fun once in a while, however I’ll bet your stash is under better control than mine!! You just need to plan your next holiday around somewhere with a fabric market and take lots of empty cases 🤣

Hmm it’s a tricky one, my stash is also pretty oversized, but it’s impossible to go to the rag market for ‘just one’ fabric 😂. I think perhaps a destash is necessary either before or after a rag market visit!! 🫣😂🥰

Ooh that sounds exciting!! I would definitely recommend Barry’s for Thea fabrics. The rag market tends to be more jerseys and lighter fabrics on the whole, although some gems dotted in amongst! Which day of the week are you going? x

@@sewsarahstyle hi Sarah we’ve coming down from Runcorn on Sat the 20th April. We come down to Birmingham a couple of times a year. G and G and Barry’s are great but always found the rag market a bit hit and miss but you find some great fabrics H x

I too had a chuckle at your trolley what a good idea just shows your an experienced fabric shopper. I live in Portugal but when I lived in Leicester I would train it into Birmingham for fabric great days. Lovely to see your trip.

Ah yes both Leicester and Birmingham are good for fabrics, you would have been spoilt back then!! I’ve definitely learned the hard way to take a bag with wheels when fabric shopping, it’s surprisingly heavy, especially when you buy lots…🫣😂
