You are going to love the New Look 6582 top and it will look fabulous in the rust fabric. Those simplicity jeans with the patch pockets look so similar to the ones I made and love. I love the Vogue fabrics, especially the reversible one. It's so cool to have those choices, but the brown tones are the best, in my humble opinion! I like the Gertie pattern for your denim. Hey Grace: For the denim fabric, the pants would be my vote. (Pattern reminds me of the high-waisted Ditto brand pants we wore back in 1975-1977 - loved 'em!!!) The S9385 pattern: I've heard 2 or 3 other sewists say that you really have to be careful with this pattern, as 2 of the views are cropped and quite short. Might be best to measure from the top of your shoulder (nearest your neck) to where you want the finished hem of the top to hit and compare to the pattern view you wish to make. Beautiful ITY knit. No idea what you might make with it. Love your shimmer browns/tans fabric. Can't wait to see your make with it, and also the avocado greens lace and knit fabrics. 🥰 Currently, sorting through and getting rid of clothes and lots of garage items in prep for my house to go on the market in 3 weeks! Hoping to be in FL and new home by end of May. 🤞🏻 How wonderful that you could meet up with some YT sewing gals and go shopping and to lunch! Isn't YT wonderful?!?!? 🥰

Hi Grace, I’d like to suggest a pattern to you for the knit fabric you featured on this video. Simplicity 9567 is a vintage pattern but if you are lucky enough to find it, I suggest sewing view A. It’s a long sleeved, wrap top that is very figure flattering and such an easy sew. I have used this pattern repeated, probably 8 times now. I’ve made it with and without sleeves and I’ve also made view E. Trust me, this top would be amazing on you!

I usually cut a size 16 in a non-stretch woven. I cut a 14 or 12 in a knit, depending on the stretch. I always look at the finished garment measurements on the pattern pieces and decide how much ease I want, and then cut the size. Size can vary on the top and bottom. Hope that helps.

I can’t find your fabric:(they don’t have the same sweatshirt one you got. They do have another one that is dusty, blue cotton, Rich sweatshirt, net fabric. Do you think that would be the similar?

@@MicheleStorkson I would give them a call tomorrow. Sometimes it doesn't show up on their website and they have it in inventory. The item# for that fabric is: VF241-27 Foule Cozy Pale Putty and Heathered Rose Double-faced sweatshirting. I hope they have it. They are very friendly too and will let you know of similar choices.
