In today's video I show how to make these cute fabric yo-yo paperclips. This is also a great craft show item and I show an easy packaging idea.

I was just thinking these would look just as cute in a little fabric pouch or in a junk journal or even the yo yo's on hair clips would look super cute too.

Great embellishment Julia. I am going to make some in a coordinating fabric to my fabric eyeglass holders. Funny story: Years ago when my mothers eyesight was failing she would spend 5 mins. trying to thread a needle for hand sewing. In exasperation she would blurt out "This needle has no eye!". I would laugh, take the needle and thread from her and of course, easily thread the needle. LOL She would get equally upset about her coins - she would often ask "Is this a nickel or a quarter?" I thought it was funny but now find myself in the same quandry. Anyway, thanks for another great and very helpful tutorial. All the best.

They are adorable. A tip for keeping your thread from twisting is thread your needle while thread is still on the spool. Then cut thread to length needed. I been doing this for years and really helps with the twisting and knotting of the thread.

Hi Cynthia, Being left-handed has it's challenges. I remember when my mom (who is right-handed) was trying to teach me to knit, I would sit across from her instead of next to her. It helped! Thanks so much for watching. Julia

You really take the simplest things and make the best gifts ever! Everybody would love and use those. Thanks for the tips on needle size and thread. I’ve made a few yo yos in the past few months and now I know what I was doing wrong thanks to you. Wish I had the Sizzix but I just cut mine by hand. That would be a fabulous tool to have. Again, you are so talented and creative. I am learning so much from you and having a blast watching your videos. Thank you!!!! Hugs💝

Hi, I love my sizzix for so many things. I do however cut a lot of my circles by hand. I don't have all the sizes I need in the dies- cutting by hand works too!

These are very beautiful. I made and tried to sell packages of yo yo paper clips that we're similar and had 5 for $3.00 and I didn't sell any. People ALL said they were too much. What is your strategy? My packaging and yours are very similar. I put them in a beautiful basket all packaged in cellophane bags. Would love your imput. Thanks for the tutorial.

Hi, This is not a huge seller for me but I keep them displayed with my journals and use some in my journals so people can see the end use. I sell more at Christmas time for a quick teacher's gift or stocking stuffer. They make good bookmarks. I have also bundled them with a matching fabric notebook cover.
