Paul I installed your throttle ring over the winter on my 2015 CCT. It works great and was easy to install. Thanks Nick

What a good bugger! I live in New Zealand... a $20 USD part with shipping.. becomes $50NZD! Cheers for the video!

Nice! This is right down my alley. You speak volumes when you say it is about "the satisfaction of making it yourself." That is how a real biker customizes...

Paul, I failed...lol. I have loads of Balsa woods and thought it was cool to do layers. It fitted well, seems fine at my garage but not 5km later it snapped...hahaha. Guess, I'll go PVC this time, cheers!

Good info Paul, I'd like to make my own stuff too especially stuff like this, when leftover material is readily available.

Paul I have no idea about what you were talking about except what you said. However I like what you said about how things cost different in different locations. I'm on Social Security and believe me if I can make it, I do. Keep on telling it like it is.

Hey Paul thanks for another great vid. I tried making one of this ring. But when I cut the PVC ring I cut it a little to big because the PVC expand when I snapped it onto the throttle and didn't sit in there tight. I think I'll try it again at another time or just get me Llyods ring since it thicker and will probably get me the full 1/4".

Hi Paul, nice job on this one. I was wondering if you did a video on your table saw sled? That is the nicest one I've seen!
@PaulPomerleau9 жыл бұрын
+Lance Jurgensen Thanks Lance for the kind words. I do not have a video on my table saw sled as I made it before I started doing videos. As I look around my shop I realize that I could do other videos on many things that I have made but then I would have 2 of everything. But I suppose during the long winter it would give me something to do.

+Paul Pomerleau I know it's cold up there Paul ;-), it's cold here in WI too. I'll build one from the pictures in this video. Did you use a 2x4 or 2x6 for that back brace, the one nearest to your hands?
@PaulPomerleau9 жыл бұрын
+Lance Jurgensen I have a big piece of rough cut poplar that I picked up at a hardwood store in my area. It is 2" thick (real 2") and the tallest part of that piece on my sled measures 3.5" high. The lower outside edges measure 2" high. The back piece is also 3.5" high.

Your video was good. I wanted to know if you can make a TWISTER THROTTLE TUBE (BALL BEARING) Throttle Tube. I mean a DIY. Also please do upload the video.

My caliper shows outside diameter of 1.64" (41.67mm) and inside diameter of 1.32" (33.53mm)

Great Vid Paul. Just one question, how much either in circumference or degrees did you take out of the ring? Thanks
@PaulPomerleau9 жыл бұрын
+Chris Temple I think it was exactly 90 degrees.

@PaulPomerleau7 жыл бұрын
The coupler that I used has an inside diameter of 1.316" (33.44mm) and an outside diameter of 1.62" (41.2mm). You will have to find a PVC pipe of this size or you can take any size pipe and cut it into strips, then heat and mold it into whatever shape you need. Similar to what I did on my "Headlight Bezel Removal Tool" video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZbZqGiebK9-m5I Thanks for watching.
