I bought a "quiet" 24" garage fan in hopes of reducing the background noise in my videos. I'm still undecided if it was worth the cost but when I found the same motor for an unbeatable price, I couldn't pass it up. I ordered the cheapest fan blade and guard I could find. All I needed to do was make my own mounting bracket for the fan motor. See links below for the parts and tools I used:

Nice job on the bracket, which works well for the purpose. Good that you could buy all the parts to make up a fan yourself.

Thanks! Yeah, it would have been nice to be able to buy the parts from the fan manufacturer, so I didn't hafta modify the blade and guard, but it all worked out. :)

Handy having a metal bandsaw. I only have a wood bandsaw which I've barely used, so I doubt that I would have a lot of use for a metal bandsaw anyway. Besides, my metal shop is only 100 square feet and set up nicely for my needs, so no room for a metal bandsaw anyway.

Both the bandsaw and the bench grinder attachment were a bit pricey, so it took me a while to talk myself into buying them. I'm glad I did though because I use them for almost every project. I made a wall mount for the bandsaw, so it hardly takes up any room at all. And, if I need to use the saw elsewhere, it's lifts right off of the mount.

That small press brake looks interesting. I wonder if I could get or make an attachment for my 12 ton press. I don't bend much sheet metal, so I usually do it in the vise or with pieces of angle iron.

The company I bought the press brake from makes 'em for both 20-ton and 12-ton hydraulic presses. I bought the kit and welded it together myself, but they also sell 'em fully assembled. Here are their 12-ton brakes: www.swagoffroad.com/collections/12-brakes

@@Mikeattempts Thanks for the link. I checked it out and watched the video. Considering the price and how heavy duty it is, it's way stronger than what I would need for the odd sheet metal bending job. Later, I might consider making an attachment if I find the need for it. But the design will be a useful guide if I do decide to make one.

I think the problem with the weld not sticking on the inside of the bracket might have been that you didn't fully remove the powder coat down to clean steel?? I think that is powder coat and not paint??

I didn't think it was powder coated, but maybe it was.
