Well done in taking this job on in the first place so I'm reluctant to make the following comment but it seems appropriate when others may be considering something similar. One problem I've had when doing project cars is not looking ahead to plan a finished vehicle and how that's going to be accomplished. Here it seems to be the same, as far as I can tell, no overall structural plan when the original structure has to be chopped (weakened) for body fitting purposes, no plan regarding how/if the body is to become part of the structure rather than just being an add on. To end up with a quieter better handling more enjoyable drive requires the stiffest structured vehicle possible. Instead (been there done that) attention seems be on solving body detail problems as they come up while ignoring the structure as a whole. I've seen several instances of this in earlier posts where fitting a body item does not involve at the same time an easy structural improvement. It's a sort of tunnel vision thing where solving the immediate problem is all that matters. All the above is not meant as a criticism, it comes from making mistakes and thinking how to better do something which will improve the final vehicle. Cheers, Richard.

Looking good, very interesting videos..one point, why no primer on exposed welds/metal..

We use weld through primer that is the same colour as the car, the rest of the welds and metal will be cleaned and painted before the body gets permanently fixed
